We'll probably find that McCain's only open date for a rescheduling of the debate is next Tuesday, the night of the VP debates. That way, Palin won't have to answer any questions or have any news conferences at all.

Actually, it's a great strategy.

Jeff, you're BULEMIC! (i.e. can read minds...per the movie Zoolander).

McChicken wants to reschedule for October 2nd, bumping Failin' Pailin from her debate. No surprise after her disasterous showing last night with Katie Couric! "Let me get back to you with examples, Katie, m'kay?"

"Obama called John and put off the friday debate to work on the financial so called crisis."

That's actually the opposite of what happened. McCain is trying to call off the debate. And McCain is trying to inject politics into the financial crisis. Do you think the party leadership in Washington is sitting around waiting for McCain's input? On economic issues?

I have a suggestion. Let the campaign continue and have the candidates send their econ. advisers to Washing to negotiate. McCain can send his campaign manager Rick Davis to represent Freddie and Fannie, Fiorina to represent the golden parachutes of the CEO's and Phil Gramm to represent the foreign banks. Obama can send Warren Buffet, Paul Volker and Robert Rubin to represent the American people. Everybody's covered.
