$5600 Well Spent!! MAYOR and Manger JOB WELL DONE!

I am tired of people BITCHIN about $5600 that the Mayor and City Manager spent on a trip to China. OHHH the poor seniors have to spend Ten bucks to get in the Taj Mahal to play bridge....I am a firm believer that you have to spend money to make money. If it cost $5600 to send a couple of folks to China to lure tax paying companies into Peachtree City than so be it. WE NEED more trips like this selling Peachtree City to companies who will bring JOBS to our area and support OUR economy. YOU Liberals speak out both sides of your freakin heads and are CONSTANTLY complaining. If they were not doing anything to lure jobs and firm TAX BASE to our city you would be complaining as well. MR. Mayor and City Manager keep up the good work and continue what you are doing.

$5600 of wasted tax payers money

But dont worry after we get a new mayor we will also get a new manager and hope they wont have there hand out we will see buy the way The Chevron @ PTC parkway and Robinson raised his regular from 3.59 to 4.29 in just four days so what is that all about in Florida at the hess station inside Walt Disney World was 3.49 per gallon yesterday and outside the property it was 4.79 for regular

It was my understanding that the Chinese company was already locating here when the trips were made! What further did they accomplish?

I've been on such trips for corporations. They are pretty much useless!

It is a down payment on what they want next!

I too am a tax paying citizen of this community. I would have to agree with cmc865 on this one. I also travel as a consultant and believe that many things are accomplished on trips like these. There are new " friends " to be made, and if 5600 dollars is a waste of money or " excessive " in certain opinions, you might need a class in public relations. If this is a down payment for further things to come, then I consider it money well spent by city government. Kudos to you guys, my money went to something other than bleeding hearts and unrealized social failures!
