Sarah Palin's Churches and the "Third Wave"

I'm posting this because I believe it is important for voters to know the candidates that they will be voting for in November. Much has been posted about Obama's church and the subject of a candidates' Church and religion appears to be very important to many voters. Here are some facts and observations regarding Sarah Palin's Church and religious beliefs that should be considered, since she MAY be just a heartbeat away from the Presidency:

(This posting documents the extensive involvement of several of Sarah Palin's churches in the Third Wave Movement, also known as the New Apostolic Reformation, Joel's Army, and Manifest Sons of God)

* Sarah Palin's churches are actively involved in a resurgent movement that was declared heretical by the Assemblies of God in 1949....At least three of four of Palin's churches are involved with major organizations and leaders of this movement, which is referred to as The Third Wave of the Holy Spirit or the New Apostolic Reformation. The movement is training a young "Joel's Army" to take dominion over the United States and the world....Sarah Palin was re-baptized at twelve at the Wasilla Assembly of God in Wasilla, Alaska and she attended the church from the time she was ten until 2002: over two and 1/2 decades...The Wasilla Assembly of God church is deeply involved with both Third Wave activities and theology.

* The Third Wave is a revival of the theology of the Latter Rain tent revivals of the 1950s and 1960s led by William Branham and others. It is based on the idea that in the end times there will be an outpouring of supernatural powers on a group of Christians that will take authority over the existing church and the world. The believing Christians of the world will be reorganized under the Fivefold Ministry and the church restructured under the authority of Prophets and Apostles and others anointed by God. The young generation will form "Joel's Army" to rise up and battle evil and retake the earth for God.

* The Third Wave is one of the largest movements in Dominionism, a group of theologies that promote taking "dominion" over the social and governmental functions of the U.S. and the world.

* The beliefs and manifestations of the movement include the use of 'strategic level spiritual warfare' to expel territorial demons from American and world cities. Worship includes excessive charismatic manifestations such as hundreds of people falling, 'slain in the spirit,' and congregations laughing, jerking, and shrieking uncontrollably.

Watch this quick because she and the RNP are fighting to have it removed.

She not only is a hockey mom, but a gun totin' preacher, too.

Here she is taking the "pulpit" and preaching at her church. You can witness first hand her real oratory skills and vernacular which are nothing like you heard in the convention speech that Bush's speech writer wrote for her. This is the real thing.

I don't know about you, but I don't think I can handle listening to a voice tone akin to a barking dog or listening to everything being described as "so cool", "really cool", "you guys are cool" and "lookin' " and "likin' ", etc. The woman is an idiot.

More importantly, listen to what she has to say........and people think Michele Obama is scary?!?!?

I listened for a while, sounded like she was talking to a group of kids. At what point does she go off on the USA?

Well, she was addressing an audience of kids, which might help to ease our take on some of the language. (Though I've never been tempted to wax ungrammatical in such contexts.)

And I think that I can alleviate some of the worries about things she has said. For instance, her talk about God's will and Iraq probably should not be interpreted in the triumphalist way in which many in the media are understanding it. I think it is appropriate for Christians to pray for wisdom for their leaders and to desire that the decisions of those leaders align with God's will.

But it is more than apparent that there is plenty of kookiness to go around in her pentecostal/AOG church background (the same folks who bring you TBN).

And it is far from apparent that this lady is anywhere near prepared for the role of VP. Try to imagine her fielding tough questions about foreign affairs from whoever is the new Tim Russert, for example.

McCain's people must have thought that he had an "evangelical problem" and so thought that this move would bring people in. I am an evangelical and, were it not for my profound disagreement with Obama's views on nearly everything, I might regard Palin as a deal breaker--however nice of a lady she may be.

I've threatened to write in Jimmy Buffett in elections past. Could this be the year?

What's the difference between a sound choice for VP candidate and a momentary lapse of reason? Lipstick.

We would definitely get some good campaign songs. I have thought of Bill Cosby. He would appeal to some of the same Obama supporters-then again, his views may put off some others. Oh, well, I guess I will vote for Paul Newman. He seems to be a good man, stays out of trouble, has a good marriage and then, most of all, there are those baby blues--eyes that is. As much reason to vote for him as others have for other candidates. If you feel Jimmy Buffett is a strong candidate with a chance I will go with him-after all margaritas are my favorite drink--when I do imbibe.

Could someone tell me why this is not being picked up, and picked apart, by the "mainstream" media?!?!
It's shocking stuff!! We were concerned about Obama's preacher? What we were shown was his pastor making all the noise.......this is the candidate herself spewing class A cult material!
Obama's pastor was angry, this woman is insane!

Oh my.

Start at around 4:15.

The Great Cell Phone Blitz

Funny thing is, I believe the lady. I mean LOOK at her. She's absolutely blitzed!

I nominate her for The Door's prestigious Green Weenie Award.

A runner up is Lou Engle, who appears toward the end. You can tell he's anointed by the way he rocks back and forth (that's the word, anyway).

Either that or he has hemorrhoids.

I do hope tht the above stuff about the breakaway from the evangelicals and the charasmatics into a Wasilla, Alaska den of vipers is untrue.

It is bad enough that a fellow who may be Arabic in nature but attended a radical black church is a serious candidate for President, and one of the Wasilla Assemblies of God creatures is on the other ticket!

I don't care what their "religion" is but I sure don't want them trying to run our political government!

Mixing such a mess as this, on either side, could cause trouble.

"I don't care what their "religion" is but I sure don't want them trying to run our political government!"

Get used to it Nit, this is the face of the NEW Republican Party, and the new VP candidate who may be helping to lead our country, represent us in international affairs, enact policy, and set the course for a NEW America.

CNN has picked up on this story today, about her radical religious views, and will be conducting an interview tonight with one of her Pastor's (8 and 10 pm EST).

The McCain camp has been keeping this out of the MSM because they fear it will not be received very well by the voting public - - - - duh.

Wow, CNN will pick up on an issue about a republican candidate and beat it into the ground, surprising! Liberal puppet Wolf Blitzer is probably giddy about this one.

And what exactly is the new face of the democratic party- the two sided face? the muslim loving, anti white (Jeremiah), bash your own party?

"The McCain camp has been keeping this out of the MSM because they fear it will not be received very well by the voting public". If you were able to find this, how is it the the McCain camp is keeping it out of the msm? duh!

It's the same-old---same-old face for the liberals. They are full of excuses and spin when it comes to that hate-filled, G.D.-America Wright but have nothing but bigotry, intolerance and disdain for Gov. Palin's beliefs. It was the same way with Romney's Mormon faith.

Are you saying Mormonism is OK? Do you accept poligamism? Are you comfortable with Palin's cult, the type of religion that regards all but their little group as hell-bent?

Your ignorance fails to make a critical distinction between your two cases above. The nasty Reverend Wright can preach his hatemongering all he wants...this is America, and we still have some semblance of Freedom of Speech. He can choose to believe his spew, most Americans can and do reject it.

Contrast that to the vile spew of the Sarah Palins and USArmyBrats of the world. They're not content to have their own personal beliefs...they want to force their personal beliefs upon others via the force of law. The Sarah Palins and USArmyBrats can delude themselves into thinking the sky is purple, I'm okay with that. But I draw the line at your kind attempting to legislate your beliefs to me and my children.

Submitted by USArmybrat on Tue, 09/09/2008 - 8:26am.

Snif, why don't you blow your nose and get rid of some of that crap that is clogging your brain? I don't believe you have any idea what my "beliefs" are and you certainly have no proof of me wanting to "legislate" and "force" any of them on you or anyone. And, I'll take Sarah Palin talking to a group of young people about keeping to their faith and praying and thanking God to the true "VILE SPEW" from Wright anyday.

Please stop with the vicious smearing of this great governor and stick to the McCain camp talking points on how she's a can-do Mom who hunts and fishes and gives the MEEEE-de-ya the what-for they deserve, all while running the most complex state government in the history of civilization.

Anyway, why would we want to know where a candidate went to church or what their preacher says? What could that possibly have to do with anything? So what if she's called the Iraq war "a task that is from God" -- that's her personal view and none of our beeswax.

Next thing you know you'll be trotting out some garbage about her husband belonging to a political party founded by a nutjob who said Alaskans should "renounce allegiance" to the United States. Like that would even be worth talking about....
