The Republican Ticket --- scary, to say the least

DragNet's picture

John McCain insists on making things difficult for himself. As if it's not will be easy to get elected as the next Republican President following the crimes and incompetence of George W. Bush, now he has selected a soccer mom with zero knowledge of foreign and economic policy to the VP spot. Imagine this lady takingover the presidency on the likely scenario of McCain kicking the bucket; imagine her as commander in chief making life or death decisions for Americans. Would you trust such an inexperienced person with the future of our country in these specially hard times?
Mc cain himself is a self-confessed lightweight when it comes to economic issues. This is bad news for America as we continue reeling under an almost NINE TRILLION dollar deficit (thanks George). Mc Cain wants to further cut taxes while continuing (even expanding) the Iraq war (Cheney and Halliburton are all smiles) spending, to the tune of TWELVE MILLIONS per month (while Iraq enjoys a surplus). The U.S. is borrowing money from China to pay the Saudis for oil. We are in deep #@&* and all Mc Cain is able to contribute is a soccer mom. He is either senile or this is not the Republican party anymore. God help us!!

Dragqueen,

Not half as scary as a community-organizer hack that attended a racist, hate-filled, Marxist church for 20 years.

Give me a war hero and a hockey-mom over a inept community organizer with a VP old enough to be his father anyday.

Let your wife write this stuff!
She doesn't use such ill-chosen words!

Way to take the discussion to a more personal level. Attack a poster! I guess that's the way to do it around here.

What really scares me is the percentage of people who support, or are willing to put up with, this insanity. Oh well, we never had any guarantees that Homo Sapiens would be a successful species, and it ain't looking real good either.

From the web site below: time to go check out YouTube now--

This is what is now needed to have a sound grip on Palin's comings and goings . . . Husband old DUI's and daugther's pregnancy distract from more substantial matters . . .

Stevens had been helpful to Palin during her run for governor, swooping in with a last moment endorsement. And the two filmed a campaign commercial together to highlight Stevens's endorsement of Palin during the 2006 race.

Shortly after Palin was announced as McCain's vice presidential pick, the ad was removed from her gubernatorial campaign web site. It remains available on YouTube.

A federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., has accused Stevens of concealing on financial disclosure statements lucrative gifts from the now-defunct oil company Veco and its top executives. At one point, Veco employees and contractors jacked up the senator's mountainside house on stilts and added a new first floor, with two bedrooms and a bathroom, the indictment says.

This is not just a hockey mom from Mystery, Ak. getting into politics to improve the local schools.

Palin's name is listed on 2003 incorporation papers of the "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc.," a 527 group that could raise unlimited funds from corporate donors. The group was designed to serve as a political boot camp for Republican women in the state. She served as one of three directors until June 2005, when her name was replaced on state filings.
