Tyrone's debacle continues

The Tyrone council apparently followed Grace Caldwell’s hand picked “manager”Chris Venice when she recommended that the council eliminate impact fees to help build a new police station and town hall. Now the town will have to give back $100,000’s in impact fees already collected, did Chris forget about this or is she simply uneducated about such matters??? Where will that money come from, the taxpayers. Of course if you have a contract and are only going to be there for 16 more months, guess you just don’t care.

The prior council... had... to refund the impact fees. They got sued by West Ga. Home builders Association because the fees for public safety were not used within the five year time frame as law requires.

IF... you do NOT spend... the impact fees within the five year time frame, you MUST return the money to the developers.

A percentage did go to library, police, and town hall, recreation. Tyrone taxpayers have to make up the difference in the impact fee amount and cost of new buildings.

To build a new town hall and police station, would mean more money from the taxpayers right now, somthing most don't have. With money tight, the council felt they could wait.

Town hall has 2450 square feet to expand since the library moved out of the same building. The police station basement is being cleaned up so that space can be usable.

Everything the new group has done, it has been with the taxpayers in mind. They had no control over the prior town council and manager, not getting off their butt and spending the money that had to be given back.

The horse is not dead. As long as the sins of the old council adversely affect the future, those past sins will live on. Take the zoning ordinance 454. It continues to cause harm to businesses, same as the failure to use impact fees. We come to bury Caesar, not to praise him. The evil that men do live after them. (Mark Anthony Circa 35 B.C.).

How can Jennifer Lopez be a "trophy" wife when she has admittedly slept with no less than 30 men? Or so the mirror says!
Does that word only apply to sexiness or money?
