90% OF DEPUTIES SAY BARRY BABB FOR SHERIFFMon, 07/14/2008 - 8:49pm
By: Captain America
Well I've held my tongue, (or keypad), long enough. Tomorrow is the big day. Barry Babb has run the most gracious, respectful, and cleanest campaign ever. Who else has deputies standing beside him on the courthouse square, sticking their necks out on the chopping block, holding "Barry Babb for Sheriff" signs, and waving to passing motorist, all the while knowing that their jobs will probably be gone if Barry looses, for doing so? These deputies care about this county and community so much that the intense passion running through them reveals itself by their actions in standing up for what they believe. I am one of these deputies. I quit a job where I made a lot more money in order to serve my community. After 9/11, I took a hard look at myself and asked myself, what have I ever done for my country? I didn't serve in the military, like I wish I had, so what could I do now to attempt to make up for it, even a little bit. I then thought, maybe serving locally as a police officer, and trying to keep our community safe, would be a start. So at 42 years old decided to put myself through the police academy in order to come to work in Fayette County, where I live. I worked during the day and went to Clayton Regional Law Enforcement Academy at night, for 7 months, and graduated number 1 in my class, and was lucky enough to be hired on by Captain Barry Babb. I love my job and would go on welfare and do it for free if I had to. I endorse Barry Babb for Sheriff of this great county because I believe in him, and his ethics, and his leadership, and if he the election does not go our way, and Barry Babb goes to another agency I will go with him. I have nothing bad to say about any of the other candidates, but I have everything good to say about Barry Babb and I hope you will vote Barry Babb for Sheriff. As my motto has always been, " FAYETTE COUNTY HOO RAA". login to post comments | previous forum topic | next forum topic |
