He's Baaaaaack!

I'm sure everyone read the "Free Speech." Knew Brown couldn't stay away long. Guess he finally painted his daughter's bedroom. Now with no job he can start again. The Free Speech "heralding" all the "accomplishments" of the past four years is soooo transparent!
Stevie boy, GO AWAY!!! 70% thought you sucked as mayor. Funny, it's only the 18th of Jan. The council has met once! Could you give them at least 2 meetings before ranting like the idiot you are. By the way, Stevie, what did you accomplish by your first meeting? Was that our first lost lawsuit, the building moratorium? Or had you already started violating ethics laws? Eitherway, the city is soooo much nicer. You are gone. We are happy. STAY AWAY!

Whether he did a good or bad job, I have sat back for months and watched the comments made about Steve Brown here and in the paper. I feel that I've been watching a group of middle-schoolers slamming their classmates. Obviously you succeeded in getting rid of what you considered to be a bad Mayor. Must you continue the nastiness? One of the reasons I was pushed over the edge to vote for Mayor Brown was your letters. I would neither enjoy nor welcome support from adults who speak the way you do. No wonder there's so many bullies in our schools. Look who's raising them!

Can't imagine anyone would admit they squandered their constitutional right to vote based upon the letters posted here. That was truly a wasted vote since there is very little that is posted here that is worth reading and certainly none of it is verifiable.

The emotion that came out prior to the election in these forums was a result of a truly bad mayor who set the city back years, ruined careers for the sake of his own ego and cost the city millions of dollars because of his own inexperience and immaturity. All all of that is verifiable from many other sources and that is why he lost so big.

Actually he never left - he has been looking for anything the new (and grownup) city administration has done wrong so he can jump on them. But obviously he can't because they haven't - Get it?

The brown clown is a very sad individual who only feels good when he makes others feel bad. That upsets me since that is my job description as well and I think I'm better at it than he is.

What do you think he is going to do next? Carol told me he picked up an application to run for Fayette County Commission. But before you laugh your butt off - think Al Gore - how scary is that - he almost got elected.

Brown could get elected too and be our first black commisioner.

Personally, I would hope that he moves to Sandy Springs and gets elected to something - then he can be reunited with Rapson.

I had my first '06 Brownie sighting the other day on Crosstown Drive. I'll bet he was doing 55 at least as he headed east around 2:30 or so, probably late picking up the kids from school. Maybe he had just finished painting that bedroom.

No need to change the subject to a former mayor (Brown) but maybe you can afford tp pay off the Tennis Center, more for garbage, 10% home ownership tax increases every year, a new sewer system we paid for once, golf cart taxes, and on and on, but I can't. We don't have to do all these things, we are the boss, just quit spending any more!

OK. Maybe I missed something along the way. Been busy with a lot o stuff.

But what are you referring to when you say a new sewage system we paid for once?

Not sure of your meaning here.

What are you going on about? The new administration has only been in office for 19 days. Ya think they could have at least 3 weeks (21 days) to take care of all the city's business. Come on, all the problems you mention were here 20 days ago when our illustrious former mayor left office. Many of them were created by him. That's why he was so soundly defeated. But come on, give these guys more than one meeting to repair all the damage.

Birdgirl, you have it wrong "Come on, all the problems you mention were here 20 days ago". They were actually here before Brown arrived. The reference to the "sewer system we already paid for" is a history lesson. Lenox and Gang saddled us with a broken down, over priced sewer system. The deferred repairs total more then 10 ten times the amount the Dev Auth guys are trying lift out of the city wallet. The point is that it took less than a month to point out the sheer folly of Logsdon's chirping about cutting taxes, lowering government and still peeling off a couple million for his Dev Auth pals' fees.
