I really don't know, that's why I am asking. What are the salaries for our elected officials? Not all of them, just the big ones.

The DA's salary is set by the state and should normally be found in the Georgia Code. The salaries of elected county officials is normally to be found in Local Laws, which are laws adopted by the state but which apply uniquely to Fayette County. In theory, that's what you're supposed to do.

When you start rummaging through the laws, however, you find these figures are pretty much undiscoverable. You may find a figure that's ten years old, and then you'd have to uncover percentage adjustments for each of ten years to bring the figure up to date. Or, in the case of the Fayette county commissioners, you'll find they receive a percentage of a Superior Court judge's salary. So you have to hunt around a whole lot.

Here's the most practical way I know of finding these salaries. Find the qualification fee for candidates for the job (by looking up announcements in the newspapers or looking up records at the Board of Elections office, or any other practical way), and divide the qualification fee by .03. Since the qualification fee is 3% of the salary, that's a very practical method.
