There will always be new stuff! Check this one out:

McCain Leaves Fox Speechless

This is about as bad a speech as can be given, and he had three weeks to work on it. Mrs. JeffC blames the speech writers but even so this was plain awful.

Bring on the debates.

was hideous and made him look even older than he is... well, maybe not. But it made his teeth look yellow. Who are his set designers - fire them all.

I respect McCain as a veteran and bipartisan Senator, however, he is going to get trounced by Obama (yipeee) and I'm really looking forward to the debates between them.

When I look at McCain in that speech, I think of:

MCCAIN REMINDS ME OF...

They're on the email circuit. What a shame. Can he improve?

I don't think so. This is the same charisma he has shown forever. However, given that listening to him speak makes you want to watch paint dry for some excitement, he really should fire his speech writers. He had three weeks to write and prep for this and what they came up with is the: "that's not real change" theme. It was beyond pitiful. He was totally reacting to Obama's campaign slogan instead of trying to define his own campaign strategy. Saying it once may have been cute but five or six times? It was just terrible. And he and his staff knew that, it being the last primary, they would be given national coverage free which is not going to happen very often from now on. And this is what they came up with?

Another technical mistake: they knew that the polls were closing at 9:00. Why didn't they time it to finish before then so that the networks would not just ignominiously just dump him; which is what they did. Hillary spoke before the 10:00 poll closing and finished 45 seconds before 10:00. Coincidence? NO! Her staff and she knew exactly what was happening and exactly how much national news time she had.

McCain's staff better shape up. It's not in the bag for him yet.

It was terrible; no way they should have made those mistakes! How dumb can they be?

The problem I see John McCain having is he s going to have to convince folks in an uninspiring way that we should stay the course in Iraq and not allow government to intervene in these tricky economic times. John's McCain's strength will be a vow for support of conservative judges. Everything else will be a mill stone around the neck of his message! I wish him luck, but I am looking forward to a different course to plot.

Cheers,
