Bad Ronnie, Foolish Matt and our schools

Our forecast for local legislators is partly cloudly with a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms.

The word out of the state education department is both of the guys knew about this bill and they were silent as a favor to senate leader Eric Johnson. Sacrificing the little people to gain favor with the leadership.

Don't you just love how they point fingers at each other over tax cuts too.

Self-serving and no courage are their good traits.

Do you really think Rep. Ramsey who has maintained a very close employee/working relationship with Sen. Seabaugh over the years didn't clue Ramsey in on the bill? Crazy. Totally crazy.

That might explain why Ramsey wanted to keep the bill with minor changes in the language, to not let Seabaugh down.

Ronnie may have made a mistake like many other Senators in supporting SR458. However, that was in the SENATE!!!!!!!!

Ramsey had nothing to do with the Senate vote other than try to make sure that the House would not pass anything remotely close SR 458. Ramsey remains honestly engaged in ensuring against forced acceptance of Clayton students - period.

Check the actual facts and blog on them rather than your biases against him, for whatever reason you may have them. Ramsey has not been a let down for any Fayette voter yet. Moreover, my experience with him shows his willingness to respond to emails, phone calls, and faxes from concerned citizens such as myself. Approachable and responsiveness seem to be his trademarks and keeping Fayette - Fayette seems to be his voting record.

This "but we opposed district voting" attempt to deflect the real issue by the Chance and Ramsey camps ain't gonna work.

The district voting issue compared to undermining our entire county school system is a very small deal.

Matt Ramsey worked for Sen. Mitch Seabaugh (see Cal Beverly's column) for years and when Seabaugh, Johnson and other leaders said let the bill go, he let it go. Too bad for Ronnie and Matt that some of our local advocates found out about the bill and started screaming bloody murder.

They've got to go! Which good Republican wants to take them on in November?

Anyone challenging Chance or Ramsey as a Republican has to register this month for the July race.

Looks like Chance may have earned himself a spot in the Fayette Political Graveyard now, or at least in the near future.

Folks, if you think Chance and Ramsey consider your schools to be a priority you are very mistaken. Job 1 for both of these guys is helping the developers. Neither the developers nor the politicians give a damn about anything else.
