Tyrone Gossip Column

Former Tyrone Town Mgr. Barry Amos and his Demoted Asst. Mgr. Valerie Fowler have been seen recently dining together on numerous occassions in Peachtree City. Barry says that he left Tyrone to explore other "opportunities". Rumor has it that he has lobbied Palmetto for a Town Mgr's job.

Barry also attended Tyrone's Easter Egg Hunt and inspected the clean -up of Shamrock Park. Not co-incidentally, Shaquita blogged the next day about how destructive Judy Jefferson's clean-up work was.

In other news, a Stop Work Order has been placed on the new construction on Palmetto Road for environmental violations and rumor has it that the developers are in financial trouble.

Wow, you must not have much of a life to note that Barry and Valerie have eaten lunch together. Who cares. You need to get out more often and mind your own world. You are pretty sad.
Shamrock Park looks like crap. If they were going to tear everything out than they should have cleaned it the next day.

First he loses his Tyrone job and now Delta will cut 2000 jobs; one of which might be Mike's? Big Mike has been noticably absent from council meetings recently. Ms. Rehwaldt was looking for him two weeks ago to show him her new hat. Well maybe Mike was out looking for a job. Recessions have a way of bringing high flyers down. Barry's still looking for a job too, and good jobs are hard to find. My daddy always said, "what goes around comes around; and hit 'em where it hurts, in the pocket book."

It is sad that you would thrive on the fact that Mike Smola or anyone else could lose their job and have to look for another in today's time. Do you have so much unhappiness in your life that you would thrieve upon that? There have been many people absent from meetings this year because they are disgusted with the manipulation and underhandedness of the new mayor and his cronies. Not opening things such as cleaning the buildings or the park to a public bid is just an example of the ethics of this town's government. Just as the postions of Town Manager and Attorney were not put out to a bid neither are many other things. It is a sad state of affairs.

funny, such compasion for someone who had none for others.

I do not think for one minute that people have been absent because of disgust for the new goverment. If anything, it is about trust. They know they don't have to watch every move this group makes.

As for as being sorry for Mikie...can you tell me when he showed any sympathy for anyone but the developers? I'm dying to hear your answer. While you are at it...tell me the same thing about Barney and Thelma Lou?

Mikie/Thelma Lou/Barney...and I do think it is a colective effort among you, I dont think you can think that hard without each other. Tell me, what is it you think Tyrone has lost? What do you think you gave Tyrone that we aren't so much better off without? Tell me what it is you think we should remember you for? What did you do for anyone but the developers? Please, don't be bashfull, list your talents for all to know.

If everyone wanted you, there would be a ground swell, ground roots effort to put you back. I know of nothing like that, in fact I do know of a ground roots effort to get rid of you! That effort to show you the door, is why you are on the street, and other people are in office. I dare you to go around with a petion to get your bunch back...! Did you know you don't control the police no more? That they just might seek them on you...like you have done ..US...in the past?
