Why is district voting a "risk" like Matt Ramsey said?

If Matt Ramsey thinks district voting will cause Fayette County to fall apart then why doesn't Matt complain about his being elected within the same Fayette County by district voting?

Why isn't his election by district voting in Fayette County a "risk" as he puts it?

The Board of Education is all Republican and they are elected by district vote, so what's the big deal?

I think guys like Peter Pfeifer are afraid the people in his district will cut him loose.

You live in Pfiefer's district.
Run for his seat this November if you want to.
Steve, Stuart and Peter. Let's guess who comes in third in that race.
District voting or not - same person (the sane one) gets elected.
FYI - that's not you Steve.

I'll ask it again. Does anyone really think the current commissioners wouldn't be elected if they had ran under district voting? If I'm not mistaken, Commissioner Horgan won a large majority of the vote in North Fayette.

What is the fuss really about?

Here's a novel concept that maybe you will learn about, as some PTC council members will too: it's called listening to your constituents. Ramsey's constituents are obviously Repubs and overwhelmingly NOT in favor of district voting. Now, I wonder how Ramsey stands on it? Hmmmmm.....

Remember the Ramsey-Brown election? I know you did since you're a big Brown supporter. Did you notice how the candidate against district voting beat the heck out of the candidate in favor of district voting? No run-off and the voters made it real clear who they wanted in office.

So, a guy who campaigned against district voting and got elected is still against the idea 4 months later as are his constituents. Next question?

Sour grapes bowl is getting bigger, I see.
