Rehwaldt-The First 100 Days

To the fine folks of Tyrone:
I don’t know if you folks realize it but tomorrow marks the first 100 days of your new Tyrone Town Council. Of course for the first 55 days we met in private, outside of the public eye, and in violation of the Georgia Open Meetings Act. Gracie said it was o.k., we weren’t sworn in.
Let’s take a look at what we got accomplished:
Fired the town manager
Demoted the assistant town manager
Changed the job description of the Police Chief
Fired a police officer
Fired the town lawyer
Hired a new town manager
Wasted a lot of your money on a forensic audit
Hired a new lawyer at 58% more than our old lawyer
Decided one lawyer wasn’t enough so now we have two at every meeting ; approximately 200% more expensive than our old lawyer
Set up nighttime speed traps on 74 to help pay for higher legal costs
Created the Tyrone Gateway; the heavy equipment display at the corner of 74 and Jenkins Road. It’s almost complete we’re just waiting on a road grader and a tree grinder. What a wonderful first impression for people coming to Tyrone. Going to the schools; turn left at the heavy equipment.
Became the first municipality in Georgia to ban dust and sand by charter.
Provided a job guarantee for our lawyers by charter.
Changed the official town organ….oops didn’t do that
Settled lawsuit with Dick S…..oops didn’t do that
Gracie and Gloria are working hard to eradicate Dengue Fever in Tyrone
Appointed first planning commissioner that wears a hat that says: “Jesus Saves but he don’t rezone”
Allowed an illegal and dangerous monument sign to be placed in front of the Legacy Theatre building

As you can see we are working hard to improve your quality of life. Won’t it be wonderful when we actually do something that will improve it.

Mayor Don

Anything that can be done to clean up the air isn't a laughing matter and if your child or grandchild had asthma you'd understand. Toxic industry waste is a real health hazard here. To see someone who is trying to make our air cleaner mocked here is just outrageous. Thank you town council for taking this matter as a serious issue and I think all CARING parents will agree. Whoever wrote this should start thinking about someone other than themselves.

The charter covered it dust and sand with a blanket statement that was already in it. Toxic Industry waste in Tyrone? Where, Tyrone Tire? The rock quarry? Oh wait, I know, Shamrock Kitchen. Give me a break.
P.S.Very rarely would sand lead to asthma.

All women should read this article: www.mcghealth.org/iHealth_Women/mature/your_body/caring_for/healthy_environ/air_quality.htm - 38k -

In fact rock quarries are a big source of air pollution know it all.

First of all, you are a poor copycat. The whole Mayberry theme so fit you and the others. In case you didn't know, you were Otis! The Wizard of Oz theme is so predictable for you. Give it up..you cannot out do Mayberry!! So now lets talk about the first 100 days. In my opinion, this new outfit got right down to business and began cleaning up most of your mess! The big yellow machinery has been there since "your watch". "Your watch" never would have gotten rid of Barney or demoted Thelma Lou. You need to face it..ousting Amos was what the citizens wanted...but you are too clueless to figure that one out. And did you ever think that the so called speed traps just might be DUI traps...hummmm, you had better watch out for those!
The new people in office are doing a fine job. Appears that ethical government(and your few other identities)is the only upset one in town. Maybe if you click your ruby slippers you can travel to Oz.

Have you noticed there is no group behind you?
Why don't you get a petition signed by unhappy taxpayers that share your views? Honest people have gladly signed their names and addresses to them in the past. But I noticed you guys ignored them. If you can find 300 real taxpayers to sign it, I'm sure it will be taken to heart. Put your money/time, where your mouth is, or shut up!

As for the deal on 74/Jenkins Road, that has been there for at least 6 months...wouldn't that have been on 'your watch'?

"the first municipality in Georgia to ban dust and sand by charter", yeah they want clean air stupid.
Changed the official town organ…...I don't think you have one!
Appointed first planning commissioner that wears a hat that says: “Jesus Saves but he don’t rezone”...you are really sick when you make fun of religion. You need help.

There were many people that signed that petition that did not live in Tyrone and their signitures were wasted.
What does Hugh O'neil know about planning a community? According to the mayor he was appointed because he attended the town's meetings. There is a major accomplishment. Now tell me, is that a good qualification for someone to be on a planning committee?
If Gloria was worried about clean air she should encourage the town to go green. Hybrid vehicles, when the town workers gas their vehicles etc.... There are many other and better ways to do so. Those tires they were talking about should just be cleaned up. The code enforcement officer needs to do this. More than anything else it cause a blight to the scenery.
Shamrock Park- Judy is soooooo proud of the same plan that was submitted lat year. Nothing has changed. He Judy where are the courts????
The mayor got the rug pulled out from under him when he could not get his resolution passed by the council. He mayor here are some facts on Dengue fever- Dengue fever (IPA: /ˈdɛŋgeɪ/) and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics and Africa, with a geographical spread similar to malaria.[1] One major difference, however, is that malaria is often eradicated in major cities, whereas dengue is often found in urban areas of developed tropical nations, including Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Brazil. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, which feeds during the day.[2]

Me thinks he was suprised when he did not get support.

Red: Areas with Aedes aegypti and recent epidemic dengue fever.
we live in the blue area.

People have said of you, over and over, don't respond, he is so sad, this is the only way he can get attention. That for you, negative attention is better than none at all. It is sick, but I think, correct. I feel sorry for you and will pray for you. It will be hard, but I will try.
