I agree w/ OBB - he is right on man. Grace and Gloria are great people. Dial does himself no good by slamming these ladies....if it is dial, it could be smola.....dial should just get in line and act right instead of making enemies of the people he is gonna have to work w/ over the comin' yrs. that is not smart so dial or dial supporters should not be on here slammin' on G&G.

Eric would rather crossdress than serve four years on Tyrone council. Eric Dial just followed Ronnie Chance…Get the money from people you can help in office and they will flow the money in. Distillers, homebuilders, etc. Dial will not stay his entire term. If Eric and Ronnie have half a chance of getting political jobs with their declared favorite, the cross-dressing Rudy Guliani, they will eagerly don skirts and wigs, too.

Don't project your own fantasies of cross dressing onto others. What the heck does that have to do with anything? Why does everyone think he will not complete his full term? Even if you all make his 4 yr term miserable, he made a commitment to our/your city. Giving up may be your way out when things get tough, but not his. He won a local little town election. This is not the presidency. I cannot wait to see you have a conversation in public with him where you notice (if you are a good judge of character) his goodness. I hope that when you feel a little bit of guilt and think "maybe I got this guy all wrong" that you will then put this behind you. Smola is a Tryone town councilman from New Jersey area whos,

arrogance and developer friendly attitudes cost him the election.

He won his seat last term only because the person running against him

was transfered a couple of months before the election and he still

only won by 17 votes!

Now this election is over - time to concentrate on getting Janet Smola off the school board. Does Tyrone have any candidates ready to go? Hear the folks in PTC have some great people in the wings. Time to unite for the beneift of our children and county. Never again should someone sit on the board and speak to fellow board members and tax payers like they are dirt.

You're right, timeforchange, Janet Smola needs to be voted out of office. We need intelligent, forward-thinking, respectful administrators who LISTEN to their constituency and respond in a way that meets the needs of our children. Attend a FCBOE meeting or redistricting meeting, and you'll witness anything but these traits exhibited by Janet Smola or Terri Smith for that matter.

The time to rally for candidates is NOW for the '08 school board
election. Our kids and parents deserve much better representation than Janet or Terri offer.

The Board members who voted for the new elementary school in the middle of nowhere should be held accountable for all the small children changing schools next fall. The Board knew there was no growth in that area and the five surrounding elementary schools had empty classrooms. If our kids have to change then they have to go as well. Does anyone know who voted in favor of the Inman Road School? away from all the children and growth?

Marion Key was the lone voice of reason. She stated that the building of Inman would cause too many children to be redistricted for no reason. The school was in her opinion in the wrong place. The board completely disregarded her opinion and Smola treated her like a dog. If you don't attend the School Board meetings you have no idea what goes on. The trouble with these wake up calls is they are too late to change the present. However it is not to late to change the future - especially the next Middle and High school redistricting. Vote in a board that has an idea of future planning and not vested interests in land, contracts etc.

and it isn't pretty. She rules because she won't shut her mouth and the captive audience has better manners. You will have to take the gloves off. When that mouth gets to rockin, you WILL HAVE to come back at her louder and put her in her place. I hate doing it too, but that is the only way to control someone like her.

It's needed in the West Village of Peachtree City!!!

Last Fall when they voted on the next location for an elementary school, the Board should have voted for the West Village or Tillman Road. Tyrone probably needs a school first with all the trailers at Burch. Again, why did they vote to build the school where they did not need one?????

The land given to the FCBOE in the west side of PTC is not able to be built on. It would have answered a lot of problems, so the BoE had to find land elsewhere. I have not seen many parcels of land for sale in PTC big enough to build a school on, have you? With a new subdivision of 475 homes coming the West side of the county will need another school! People need to start going to the meetings and be informed! I hope this time the elementary lines balance all schools out & that the Board picks a map!
