An Open Response

Satire is a wonderful literary tool; it brings a smile to many people, and it
sometimes carries a deeper message that is obviously hard for some to understand. It does in fact effect people in different ways, some will find the humor and laugh, others
will react harshly. Satire knows when it's having an effect when it garners such
hateful responses, as is the case of a Mr. Idontknow. (his comment follows this post)
His rantings and ravings, past and present, are merely outward signs of an inner
turmoil, which is unfortunate. It's true that there are people like Mr. Idon'tknow in every setting, those that feel they can demand this and demand that and everyone is supposed to snap to attention, but there is also in every
setting someone who will refuse to follow the dictates of these curmudgeons who
aren't accustomed to someone who enjoys life, someone who sees humor in the world. It's hard I suppose to consider yourself the only legitimate voice in the Blogosphere, and it must be even harder to lack a sense of humor. I won't be going anywhere Mr.idontknow, but if things get too "stupid" for you, you are always free to find a venue where your
voice alone is heard. Free Speech is a wonderful thing, many have fought and died
for it, but if you choose to stay I'll look forward to your future rantings and
ravings which I'm assured is your nature, however I don’t intend to respond to your nonsense opinions in the future. Lighten up Mr. Idontknow, life really isn’t that bad.

Well, I've been "lurking" for a while, and this, um, interesting, perspective got me to hit the "login" button.

Mr. Hick, Sr., could you please go away? You are like someone I used to work with who thought it was "fun" to go into chat rooms and just type the stupidest thing they could think of.

There are some opinions on this site that don't interest me (actually, not many of them do anymore), but at least those typing are somewhat coherent in their explanations. You're just trying to be stupid. Mission accomplished. Now GO AWAY.

From the cheap seats, just my opinion.

Life isn’t that bad, but your attempt at humor is. You boast about satire being a "wonderful literary tool" when you find "enjoyment and humor in life" by making fun of the illiterate. Sounds a bit pretentious and pompous to me. You are the one who needs to lighten up.
