Great Georgia Airshow

I truly enjoy reading this paper. It allows all of us to keep up with important events in our community on a daily basis.

However, the air show was this past weekend. It was the USAF 60th anniversary. There was a flyover by the B-2 Spirit and many other great happenings.

This newspaper writes a story on the 18th, and the entire story says

"Thousands turn out for the Great Georgia Air Show"

You must be kidding me. You will post multiple articles about some company trying to build a waste transfer station in Fairburn, but when something of great interest happens then you post a one sentence story (with no photos)?

Come on Cal, get it on the ball!!!!!

There wasn't much new about the air show which to write about, however everything takes time to write about.

Also, some people don't know what the show is all about. Some suspect that some of the money goes to support the rich hobbies of fliers! Also promotes the airport and the jobs it provides. The airport is already a loser as far as profit (supported ny the hotel tax) is concerned, and some are not sure how much it attracts business to here.
Maybe more explanation would help promote the Air Force, the military, and those who like to fly, and at the same time produce overflow crowds?

"Everything takes time to write about." (especially if you're still in the 6th grade) -- A very good observation. Glad to see that your therapy is keeping you so occupied! Smiling

"Some suspect" -- Maybe you could dig up the "real" story and submit your "research" to the National Enquirer and/or the Daily Kos (since the "rich fliers" must be Republicans). Puzzled

Here's something else you can "research" (especially before the upcoming scheduled flyover):

"Tough Punishment Expected for Warhead Errors": Officers May Lose Commands After Nuclear Missiles Were Flown on Bomber

Nuclear-armed cruise missiles were mistakenly flown from North Dakota to Louisiana.

Is this Bush's solution for New Orleans? Shocked

Maybe you could enlist Valerie Plame's help. She might need the money since her civil lawsuit was dismissed and her $2.5 million tell-all book deal fell through, although she was able to negotiate a new deal with Simon & Schuster, the publishing unit of CBS Corp. (likely at a much reduced rate). Puzzled

Spy Val will appear on CBS's 60 Minutes in her first "interview" (i.e., book promo) about her book Fair Game, Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007.

Hubbie Joe Wilson (who describes himself as a political centrist) explains why he's campaigning for Hillary Clinton: "It's about honesty." Is he being paid for his time? Does he have a real job? Puzzled

If you don't think that Val will rake in enough $dough$ from her TV appearances and book sales (and upcoming movie Puzzled), you can send donations to Val & Joe's website, (if you're tired of listening to Elizabeth Edwards' pleas for $).

I admire the Wilsons.
They served their country in jobs you and I wouldn't touch! Someone has to do it however.
Wilson was correct about the false story put out by the administration and it took a lot of courage to say so. You see what happened to him and his wife?
We don't need people in power who will generate lies in order to get oil!! And, you well know what I mean.
I didn't read your "stuff" you referred to. It is old.

Actually, Spy Val is on 60 Minutes this Sunday. Didn't want you to miss it. But you're right; she is OLD news. Laughing out loud

"I didn't read your 'stuff.'" -- What else is new? Puzzled I put in the links because some people accuse me of not telling the truth and misquoting. I never thought for a minute that YOU would read them. Laughing out loud

The new news is Joe's "honesty." Puzzled Also, the nuclear-armed cruise missiles being flown to Louisiana.

Just trying to give you new news to "research." BTW, where is this oil you're talking about? Puzzled

I did not know Valerie was going to be on 60 minutes. I’ve been wondering what she was up to. Alas, I probably won’t get to see it.

However, I did see that Jeff Ganon’s book was coming out (no pun intended) and had been selected for a prestigious award:

Jeff Gannon Book Selected for National Press Club Book Fair

You remember Ganon right? He was Karl Rove’s plant as a White House "reporter" for Talon "News," which is owned by GOPUSA? Until he was exposed (again no pun intended) for running the gay escort service websites and “acting” in them using the professional name Bulldog.

Anyway, the book blurb says in the book: “He also offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the White House Press Corps” (too awful for me to contemplate given the subject matter) and he “exposes” his involvement in the Plame affair!

Since I only read the MSM and not the Republican fringe stuff like this, will you please tell me what his involvement was after you read it?

Thanks.

Jeff Gannon's book The Great Media War: A Battlefield Report might be interesting, from a historical and journalistic perspective. Puzzled

It might be a little too "revealing," though.

I've not seen anything other than mere speculation that Gannon was a "plant" by the "boy genius." Laughing out loud

I agree with one assessment of these rumors: "It takes no small amount of mental agility to believe that Rove would choose an alleged gay hooker for an operation as sensitive as infiltrating the press corps."

Shouldn't Gannon be considered a balance for the highly opinionated liberal questions by Hearst's Helen Thomas? Puzzled

It is certain that, if you're conservative and "gay," graphic pictures will be circulated to "out" you and to attempt to have you fired from your job. Your personal life won't be a private matter. Ummm, I wonder if he "knows" Barney Frank? Puzzled Shocked
