Where will my fellow bloggers stand on insults to soldiers? When John Kerry botched a joke and made it sound like stupid soldiers were stuck in Iraq, there were many blog posts here and a chain of responses. The Patreaus/betray us add received congressional attention led by House and Senate GOPers. We passed a House Measure to condemn ads that attack soldier's integrity and honor. Last week, American Conservative magazine had General Patreaus on their cover with the headline, "Sycophant Savior." I am of the mindset that ads can say whatever they want in a free society, but I am curious to see if the GOP will again lead a condemnation campaign against, now, American Conservative magazine. And where will they weigh in on drug-addicted military draft-dodging Rush Limbaugh having the nerve to call antiwar veterans of the Iraq war "phony soldiers." Rush later tried to spin that he meant the comment for only one soldier, but then he added John Murtha to the list of 2 "phony soldier." What say you my fellow bloggers? Is it acceptable for Rush never brave enough to serve Limbaugh to judge the service of American troops, including many who have sacrificed their lives, because they feel that we need to end our MILITARY operation in Iraq? I found Rush's statements to be absolutely outrageous. And I hope he honors the request of 2 of these veterans to bring them on his show and call them phony to their faces. I imagine the coward will not comply with those requests. KEvin "Hack" King AF A-10's blog | login to post comments |
