I found a crime free and GOODWILL free community

My husband and I visited a community today called Serenbe. It's about 30 minutes from PTC in the heart of Chattahoochee Hills. It was like walking onto a movie set! I think everyone should drive out there and check it out. Homes were a little out of our price range. Go to www.serenbe.com to check it out, and get directions. I would like to hear opinions about this place even if you just look at their website.

I really haven't toured the whole place, although I visited the website and drove over there to see the main street. From Thomas Crossroads turning right on Hwy 29, I drove to Palmetto. I don't remember the exact route, but I do remember driving down a nice country road, glancing around I pictured all that beautiful land later turning into a Hwy 74. If it doesn't have one already, maybe Serenbe should consider a helicopter pad and also a moat.

Beautiful, but I wouldn't want to live in Fulton Co. Or am I mistaken, is it Coweta? Smiling

It is in Fulton, very close to Coweta. It is in the middle of no where.

That's where I would like to be..in the middle of nowhere. But not in Fulton Co. Smiling

If you have teens and they don't go to private they would go to Creekside High School. Not one of the better schools in the state. Someone needs to build a community like this around an area with great schools. I'll be first in line.

When we decided to leave the city and move to the 'burbs, a good friend of ours told us we should move to Serenbe. He works with one of the architects/developers of Serenbe and couldn't say enough nice things about it. We checked it out, but honestly it's just a bit out of our price range. However, when I win the lottery, I have already made it clear to my family that that is where we are moving!

The restaurant there is pretty good, too - you should check it out. I wish there were more options like Serenbe around!

opened their 3rd restaurant called The Hill. We went to the bakery. I left with 10 extra pounds from their desserts!

If the place is anything like their website, that is one awesome community. The houses looked a bit small for the $300k price tag though.

Like I said, "it's like a movie set." I hope you drive out and check it out.

Serenbe is beautiful. My wife and I spent some time there about a month ago. The funny thing is when we were driving around today and saw the sign that said Kroger is bringing in Goodwill, the first thing we said was, "it is time to move to Serenbe".

Brunch at the Farmhouse tomorrow... see ya there!

Where is brunch there, and do you know the hours? Is it at the Inn?

Lunch tomorrow is from 12-5PM. Go on-line at www.serenbe.com and then click on the Restaurants at Serenbe link. Brunch may be the wrong word as it is actually Chef's choice. It is at the Farmhouse Inn.
