Orin Hatch, Utah Federal Senator, (a Mormon, if you want another one)the Governor of Utah, the Congressman over the Utah mine disaster district, The CEO of the mine, and the VP of the mine, all praised those wonderful miners "who risk everything to mine our coal, They are such fine people!"
A sickening false display on Faux News and CNN! Kinda like Rumsfeld and Bush about our soldiers.
If they had been able to get the first six miners out (which may still be possible, lets wish), I'm sure they would have been mining the coal again that fell by now!
Just what are you supposed to use to hold up 1800 feet of mountain when you have hollowed out the coal under it? Not just a small WV seam, but hundreds of feet in all directions!
I remember reading about wars in the 1000-1400 era, where a wall was needed to be breached, so they sent wave after wave at the wall until the dead bodies allowed the rest to mount the wall over the bodies! If they didn't go they were not paid, fired, and then later killed.
