For Ken Matthews' InformationThe days are gone when a Tyrone candidates' platform consists of general statements to do a good job. Voters want to know specifically what their solutions are? If officials don't know there are serious problems, then that's good enough reason for voters to reject the candidate. If Mr. Matthews did investigate all proposed ordinances, then why is there no written reports by the commission on public record as required in O.C.G.A. 36-67-3,4. I don't ask you to believe me. Read it for yourself. Regarding Mr. Matthews' advice that if the council ignores a complaint that a person should just go to court. Let's pretend that Mr. Matthews is losing a lot of money because the town has done something to harm him and his elected representatives don't pay any attention to his complaint. Would Mr. Matthews like to to pay a lawyer 10's of thousands of dollars to try to correct a problem that his officials could have done as part of their job. Would he want to continue to pay taxes for their income when his income is being taken. And Why do we even need elected representatives if everyone must pay for a lawyer to protect their rights. Why do we need a town attorney? Can't he make some proper legal decisions? No. Because the town lawyer is representing the government and not the citizens who pay him. Of course, Mr. Matthews doesn't know about a special taxing district for downtown. That's because its a well kept secret and will never be mentioned until its too late. That's part of the conspiracy as was ordinance 454. Read O.C.G.A. 36-44-8 about the redevelopment district taxing powers. Thanks Tonto for exposing Mr. Matthews. Vote for Tracy Young. His platform is just the opposite, but he will speak for himself. thelonerangeroftyrone's blog | login to post comments |
