Indicative of a problem

I stopped at Dunkin Donuts this morning for a cup of coffee and noticed on my way out that there were five people in the drive-thru line (four of which were SUVs incidentally) yet there was no line inside the store. I guess people would rather let their cars run in idle for 5-7 minutes while they wait for their turn at the window, then get out of their cars and get their order filled in a minute or less.

Now, there could be good excuses - like they had small children in the car and going inside would take more time than sitting outside in a running car - but in all likelihood these people are just creatures of habit who never go inside to fill their order. Unfortunately, this probably happens in drive thrus around the world.

Please, pay attention to your surroundings - save yourself some time and some gas - and spare the already poor air quality in metro Atlanta.

because the a/c in my truck doesn't work very well and it's a great opportunity to cool off.

I guess many folks are just too lazy to walk in. The line could be wrapped all the way around the PTC Crossing Chick-Fil-A and people still que up. All the while, there is one person inside ordering at the counter.

Oh I get it, there’s a deeper underlying meaning to the poor service provided by the local teens at burger joints. It exposes a much larger problem. It's about people with large families driving SUV's and not wanting to unstrap the little tikes out of the car seats, so they won't be late for ... a terrorist meeting ... no ... t-ball practice. I see what you're saying now. It is crystal clear.

With the exception of Wendy’s, none of the menu items are made to order, so why are we waiting so long to get those little tidbits that take 48.3 seconds to make. The biggest reason is poor staffing.

They are handmade at Chick-Fil-A. Which is the only fast food joint I frequent.
