Old Fayette County Resturants

Which old restaurants would you bring back if you could? Also, are there any memorable dishes at these places that the new restaurants could learn from?

Old restaurants I would like back:

Dragon Lady - the best Chinese food around.

Mazzios Pizza - great Sunday buffet

La Fiesta - By far the best Mexican in it's day.

Little Caesars - Not that old but I liked the extra variety.

Anthony's Pizza & Pasta just opened on Hwy 54 (east) in F'ville, next to the retirement home.
They have been around for several years and the food & service prove it. They are open for lunch & dinner and have lot's of great food to offer, from pizza to pasta, to sandwiches. I will be a frequent customer and wish them all the luck. Not only can I have a great meal, I will save gas money. I used to drive to the Riverdale location. Thanks for coming closer to home!

My family enjoyed pizza & calzones from Anthony's recently. I might add - they are very reasonably priced, too.

It's a family owned & run business, so the customer service is outstanding.

Mrs. Hutch and the Hutchette ate there yesterday and loved it, they had the calzones also.

I wish we still had the Lone Star too. That was the best and coolest place to go. My Dad and I are friends with the owners and the chicken man. They will be happy to know that they are missed. I will forward the link to them. You can learn about the chick man at www.chicken-man.com.

Corelli's, at least during certain time periods when it was very good. Consistency(and paying taxes)wasn't Corelli's strong suit but they could be very good.

I miss Great Shakes that was in Peachtree Crossing before being sold and becoming a series of nothing-happening restaurants.

Excellent call there NUK. I remember particularly enjoying their wings and the best blue cheese dressing I think I've ever had.

If anyone knows where those folks went I'd love to know...

I had the pleasure of seeing Chicken Man at Long Branch restaurant in Fayetteville recently. Man, was he ever funny!!! Apparantly, he does a show there occasionally.

Just happened to go to Long Branch last Monday night for dinner, and was pleasantly surprised to find out they have nightly specials.

Monday night's special is all you can eat Crab Legs!! They were outstanding, too. I couldn't help but think we were helping keep our favorite show on The Discovery Channel - The Deadliest Catch, and keeping Sig, Johnathan, and Phil in business!

I miss them too..... I all but forget about them.

Dang Tug, we had some pretty good places to eat back in the day (and when you were there you knew almost everyone). Oh well, the times they are a changin' Eye-wink Clayton County is hea!

It was always a tradition for my neighbor and I, to take our children to Frank And Fries for ice cream on the last day of school.

Also, we went there after the game at McIntosh. We did know almost everyone there.

Ken's Pizza was the best! Wheeler's, everything was good!

Yep, the good old days!

Goodness I guess they've been closed for maybe 7 years (or more?) but Mayberry's next to Ruby Tuesday in PTC had some good eats like their fried green tomatoes!

And I loved the fajitas at 'On the Border' in PTC - I miss them too.

I also used to like the 'Chicken Man' dinner show at the 'Lone Star' - bring them back too. I ate there with Richard Petty one time. That was pretty cool Eye-wink
