Logsdon Opening Pandora's Box And The Consequences

Spear Road Guy's picture

When the mayor openly said he wanted more big box stores and the TDK Extension, he opened Pandora's box. Now we are going to get riddled with requests like the "NEW and IMPROVED" Lowes proposal.

Most now assume the mayor is under the developers control, but I'm not sure even Logsdon knew where all of this would go. The TDK extension is a curse. Does anyone doubt Lowes is thinking they can get more from Coweta on TDK than Rockaway?

I've been told a developer is looking at a multi-family on Robinson Road. This is crazy.

Even more crazy is the mayor calling a meeting to discuss development future development. IS HE TELLING US HE'S BEEN MAKING ALL OF THESE PRIOR DECISIONS REGARDING TDK AND BIG BOXES WITHOUT CONSIDER THE IMPACT ON THE FUTURE? Again crazy.

harold loves big box stores and developers. Lowes told him they would put in a full bar by the customer-no-service counter. Who wouldn't love to get drunk while shopping??????

The porn stores told harold the same thing. Full bar! harold loves rivercrimedale.....since he loves it so much, why doesn't he move there?

Since the teens here love to break and enter they should at least be able to score a lot of alcohol for their efforts. I suggest the new lowes as the first hit.

If we can't get a Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, or Tommy Bahama, or Trader Joe's, or Whole Foods, Parisian, Nordstrom, Sharper Image, Frontgate, Ballards, Emerils, even a Cheese Cake Factory would be good. Don't bother us with your "strip/drug mall development. Either go first class or go away.

For once I agree with skyspy. Developers need to go first class
or go home.

What we need around here are a few nail salons, Mexican eateries, dry cleaners and Chinese restaurants. Once we get a good base of these type of "foundational" stores then perhaps your wish lists can be filled. Priorities guys.

Maybe we could get a few more liquor stores. Better yet we could get one next to an adult book store. You know, like you said ...stores to cover basic needs.
