Action by the NAACP?

Many people wonder why the NAACP doesn't verbally abhor black crime more than they do. Criticize them, name names, report them to the police, etc.
Well, just think a minute about that. Their job is for the advancement of the colored races. They only work on the positive side of the equation.
This isn't a new process, however. Consider what a NAAWP might do in similar circumstances. (National Association of White People).
Would they, every time a white person commits a crime, start criticizing all white people for being criminals? Try to send all whites to another county, or back to the one they last left?
Their (NAACP) job is to get many blacks out of poverty and ignorance and to reduce problems with other races.

If they want to advance people as you stated seems like they would have a much greter interest in:

• Be attemping to do something about the collapse of the family structure
• Encouring communication skills that empower you to earn a good living i.e. non-ebonic and non-hip hop gutter talk
• Listen to and have Bill Cosby speak a whole lot more

Just my personal opinion

The NAACP has not really been a relevant organization since the 60s in my opinion. I don't consider them my leaders.
I try to "pursue happiness" by staying within the bounds of the law and common decency. I don't need a group of designated "leaders" to tell me that. There are those that may still find the NAACP a relevant organization in their lives, I'm not currently not one of those.

Well said. I feel the same way. I am quite capable of speaking for myself and formulating my own opinions. Did you get that Bradford Pear taken care of? Pretty trees but smelly, weak and messy.
