Polarization!

Means a stand-off that can't be resolved.
This blog site has finally reached that point also, I'm afraid!
The protection of a government who is absolutely detrimental to the well being of our citizens, now and maybe forever, in so many ways, is a foolish thing to do. No man, party, or government is worth that much.
Yet, there are those who will defend such a government in the fear that a new one will be worse.
Maybe so, but that chance must be taken after careful consideration.
Those candidates who wish to continue the status quo, on and on, must not be re-elected, nor new ones elected who propose the same failed principles.
It has nothing to do with party, just a group of poor choices in people to lead us.

"Polarization! Means a stand-off that can't be resolved."

There is one stand-off that can be resolved. That is you not answering your own blogs 2 1/2 years later. Then again, who else would agree with all of you????

Hilarious! I had never seen that. Remember recently here when he said he would be away for a while....so he could be more "productive"???? I guess that meant his doctor found a laxative that worked for him....for a while anyway.

Your comments above indicated that "anyone" might be better than what we had at that time as leaders! I agreed.

Well dollar we got someone and now he is trying to be blamed for that eight year catastrophe!

Debt, wars, jobs, bank failure, wall street crooks, ignored regulation, secret fuel meetings, fired justice officials, and so forth, can not be covered up by calling the next guy, almost immediately, a traitor, a socialist, a liar, ignorant, unskilled, and undependable!

If you want to gain back some conservative seats next year you had better find someone to run who isn't the same as what we had with Bush!

Until the populace of our great Republic decides it is time to place time limits upon our elected officials, little or nothing of consequence will change. Nothing of any substance can get through the two legislative houses because those we elect do not govern for the good of the Nation, but do so to be reelected for yet another term. These people are for the most part good and decent folk who have been corrupted by a disease within the Washington Beltway. Egos, greed, and a lust for power have long since taken hold. It is they who know much better than we as to spend our money, maintain a solvent treasury, and defend our borders--Just ask them.
Our founding fathers had it right,"a government by the people, for the people". It was not intended to be a profession, but for individuals from all walks of life to have the opportunity to serve and then relinquish that seat to someone else.
Since the death of Strom Thurmond of South Carolina who served for 48 years, we now have Senators having served over forty years(Kennedy,Byrd) and many over thirty years.
I humbly submit that should we limit our representatives to six or eight years, we stand a far better chance of getting people who would serve with the interests of the nation ahead of personal ambition.

Look, I'll take anything over what we have now. Democratic Party, Libertarian Party, 3rd Party, Populist Party, Independent . . . .

I just don't see any up side to continuing on this path and picking more of the same Bush-Rove Republicans means we'll get more of the same. Deficit spending, a failed international strategy, alienation of allies, no-bid contracts, poor defense spending management, politicization of law enforcement, abuse of our brave service personnel and so on and so on and . . . .

Vote anything but Republican! (because you really are known by the company you keep)
