Cartoons sink to new low; must be a slow news day.I absolutely agree with Jeff Carter who has called The Citizen one of the finest local papers he's read. That is why I'm always dissappointed when they stick cartoons in issues, such as the 4 May PTC Citizen, that aren't even fit for tabloids. AUSTIN, Texas, April 28 Investigators in Texas are trying to determine why a man with a criminal record placed a bomb outside an Austin abortion clinic. Could it be that Paul Ross Evans, a man probably clinging to lucidity, was pushed over the edge by visions of killing ogres who lust after the blood of babies? Are there people out there who truly lust after and take joy in partial birth abortion? Cartoon number two, much more confusing from a conservative perspective: John Edwards is slimed with the over used $400 hair cut jab as his caricature has spa receipts. So, let me see. Is John Edwards' crime being rich? Is it being rich while talking about poverty and health care? Would it be better that he, like the very wealthy GOP presidential candidates, not address issues that only effect poor folks? So John would be better received if he had a callous heart and deaf ear where health care and poverty is concerned? Hopefully next week brings more inspiring cartoon material, because this week did not live up tho The Citizen standards. Cheers all, Kevin Hack King AF A-10's blog | login to post comments |
