Imus in the morning show
To begin with, Don Imus is worth multi-scores of millions of dollars, well invested. He doen't need to make a living doing anything anymore. We have seen to that by watching and listening to him all these years. We have done the same for Rush Limbaugh and many others.
Now, that said, the question is did he suddenly do or say something different that makes it critical that he be eliminated from a position of influence?
If so, then we should have done it to many of these guys long ago. However it is not so.
No one thinks the Rutgers women basketball players are what he called them just because he did call them that in a bad jest.
The show (like Limbaughs, Hannity's, O'Reillys, etc.) is an entertainment show for certain people, and deliberately insults people to please others.
We could enumerate here the terrible names all the lilly white women golfers and tennis players for years were called
by other races. It wouldn't change a thing, however.
The women of Rutgers will speak for themselves as time goes by as to their worth. Nothing Imus says will matter.
What I wish wouldn't happen because of all the stink raised is the investigations that the cheap rags will now do to prove Imus right. There wasn't a nappy hair in the bunch today!
