Who's Fault?

Its amazing to me that people will blame the police for an accident caused by a fleeing Felon. I agree it it sad that this chase ended in an accident with a death. That isn't something that any officer would ever want to happen or go through.
But, lets not forget who caused that wreck. Didn't the officer's drive in a safe manner during the chase and manage not to wreck themselves? Or maybe, just maybe, how about laying blame where it belongs. With the criminal.
Just how would the public have felt it the police were chasing a intoxicated hit and run offender and backed off of the pursuit. A couple of miles down the road, that same offender carjacks a elderly couple on the way to church and kills one of them. Where would the fingers be pointing then?
It is never an officer's intention to harm the innocent. That officer must sometimes make a split second decision that will affect peoples lifes for years. Until you have been in that position and know what that is like, then maybe you should research your opinion before stating it in public.
I am not against free speech in any way what so ever. I personally welcome the public to personally view and experience the job of an officer. Just remember to assign blame evenly, not using personal bias.

If I remeber correctly it was the felon who started the chase to begin with, and he is the one who died?? That is the way I remeber it.

He was breaking the law and his bad karma jumped up and bit him quickly. I'm glad my tax dollar was not wasted on paying for jail time for that idiot. Big thanks to the cop in that chase.

As long as the criminal is the only one who dies it's a good chase, keep up the good work.
