School to test for students' weekend drinking

"PEQUANNOCK, New Jersey (AP) -- Some teenagers who drink over the weekend could be in big trouble come Monday morning: A New Jersey school district plans to institute random urine tests capable of detecting whether alcohol was consumed up to 80 hours earlier."

This is a really stupid waste of time and resources

What do they expect to get out of this testing? Some teenie weenie who had 10 beers and passed out - or perhaps his designated date who had a glass of wine? Why waste the time? Instead get the counselors and teachers and yes, even the students focused on something positive instead of the "we will punish you" mentality. No wonder so many teens are rebellious.
