Government at its best

It seems they got it backwards again.
Build the bridge and then get the EPA report from the DOT?
With 90% of the carts using the bridge being electric, I would guess that the diesel fumes from the trains passing under the bridge and the car exhaust from traffic stopped on the bridge would be more of a hazard to the cart drivers than the other way around.
The insanity will never end.
By the way, I saw the lights lit on the bridge one night and now they are off again. What's up? When will turn them on regularly?
And can we get some more light on the concrete island that's over a foot high coming out of WalMart? For left hand turners it will do number on your car and is almost impossible to see at night.

I agree with your concern over that curb on 54 coming out of Walmart.
I know it will cause numerous accidents in the years to come.

In reality, I have no idea who to contact to ask about having it modified, such that your entire front end suspension system isn't destroyed the first time you run over it.

Hindsight is 20/20, so I know on paper that curb looked normal to the engineers, but anyone makeing that left hand turn is going to have to pay close attention or they are going to have a big repair bill to pay.

Nope, I just can't find it in myself to care or feel sorry for someone who is driving so poorly that they run over a curb. It's pretty easy to NOT do so. And if you're not paying close enough attention to your driving, and you end up with that big repair bill to pay, maybe you'll learn to pay more attention next time.

The golf cart bridge has been in the plans for the new bridge from day one. I believe the state funded some of it. It's not a surprise to anyone. I've been wondering why the delay in hooking up the cart paths, and it figures somebody at the State DOT has dropped the ball.

IF anyone at the City/Newspaper sees this, who do we as citizens need to contact to get the ball rolling?
