Falcons new coach

I could hardly believe my eyeballs when I read in the AJC that a coach had been found for the Falcons who could coach and build the team upon Mike Vick, our whole team, I suppose. $130,000,000 salary makes that a necessity I guess.
I don't know if Vick is good enough in all aspects to win games for the Falcons, he may be, but to say we need a coach who concentrates on Vick and can handle his talents seems to me to be self-defeating for the rest of the 49 players and the taxi team.
Vick's ability to escape tacklers is insufficient to win games, he seldom scores or keeps possesion of the ball. He must be smart and be able to throw the ball to the right person at the right time in the right way, also.
No coach can do that.

I sometimes feel I am the only longtime (1972) Falcons fan who likes Michael Vick. So it goes. I don't know why everyone seems to have amnesia. He played in the NFC Championship game 3 years ago when in reality he was a rookie. So has Michael Vick gotten worse since then or is the team as a whole worse? I understand the Vick detractors and hold no hard feelings. I just find it hard to knock a guy who really does lay it all on the line to win week after week. He really does play with a fire few QBs have. Does he need to improve? Sure. But I don't know what Matt Shaub has shown those who hail him as the next QB. He throws ballons and if he had played this year you would have to double the amount of sacks the pitiful front line gave up. My real complaint with Mora was that our running game stunk. I don't care if we were the "top" running team in the NFL. Those yards were gained in the first half when it never really mattered. Also, how can a guy like Norwood, probably one of the fastest people in the NFL, sit on the bench for one half of every game? That just doesn't make sense.
But I think all us Falcons fans want the same thing TO WIN. Wouldn't it be nice to have at least two winning seasons in a row?

Common in baseball...Can't fire the team / fire the coach. Time will tell. Dan Reeves was kinda impressive last nite on TV about what they tried to do. I do not know how you can run a West Coast Off. w/ a passer that won't / can't stay in the pocket. Maybe they can run the 1st & only wish-borne off in the NFL.

The problem is they DIDNT run a west coast offense. It in no way resembled a west coast offense because really until Norwood came along there no effort to throw to the running backs. Mora did absolutely nothing to improve SF when he was there. And his first 11-5 team was with Dan Reeves' players. You did make me laugh with the wishbone. I assume you are somewhat joking but it might be at least fun to try it.
