Shameless PTC City Council!

Unbelievable! The Logsdon bunch is at it again with the Dec. 14 special meeting announcement coming late in the day on Dec. 13.

This is the same shameless ploy the mayor used to keep the public away from the special meeting where they decided to payoff the bad boys from the development authority! This city council will do anything to boost the development crowd at our expense.

Wonder what the excuse will be this time for public notice so short that the newspapers won’t have time to run the story. Keeping the public in the dark is pitiful.

Harold Logsdon has left me emotionally drained. The dirty politics has to stop!

Well our congratulations go to Direct PAC. They actually found someone stupid enough to justify Harold Logsdon’s actions who would sign the bottom of the letter.

Phil Boswell obviously wasn’t a history major. Thank God he wasn’t a successful politician either.

My wife made an interesting observation last week about the development authority scandal. She noticed that the old development authority chumps weren’t attempting to defend their innocence. Probably afraid of criminal prosecution. The Direct PAC has gone back to backroom dealing on TDK and other things.

The only effort they could muster was a poorly crafted historical analysis from Mr. Boswell. By the way, Hamilton didn’t come up with the “city on the hill” reference, and it originates in the Biblical text. Also, by the way, Alexander Hamilton was urging the payment of a legitimate debt that funded the Revolutionary War, not crooked dealings like the development authority. Hamilton probably wouldn’t have favored the taxpayers doling out for a tennis center and an amphitheatre twice like we have to do either.

Even Councilwoman Rutherford insisted the deal was pure bunk. However, we have to remember that Mrs. Rutherford had the facts. Mr. Boswell, on the other hand, listed no facts, but he did supply a great deal of hot air and wasted newsprint.

However, my real name is Clinton F. Kennedy, and I intend to look into this Pac thing again. I thought it was dead.
But, I'll tell you: 100 years from now no one then living will give a rat about TDK bridge! Great gangs of Central Atlanta thieves will occupy the entire area, robbing trains and buses as they pass through! The Atlantic Ocean will start at Macon, which will have nice beaches, and the cruise ships will leave for old sunken Miami and the sunken Caymans every day.
The Cuban port finally went entirely under water last month (Jan 2106) and the nearest land in a southeast direction is mid Argentina.
There are still great battles in council meetings in Argentina, now a US possession, between developers and peaceful people about new hovels.

Your predictions are way off, in my opinion. Many thought that Atlanta was doomed to ruin just a few years ago. After sitting in the Varsity upper dining area today, it's amazing what is going on in that part of Atlanta.

Check out the AJC's property value search (try 30307) and wish you here in the Peach have done as well. I don't think there are enough Happy people to carry these values this high. If you got some investment money go find something along the Beltway. Wait, you're too late. Go down to where Lakewood was, but HURRY.
ATL is Happin' and is going to be a world class city. I suggest you all get over your phobias and try to figure out a way to join it and not build a wall from it. Read that as Rail line.

McDonoughDawg says Atlanta is rising like the phoenix out of the ashes. Amen brother! I bet you don't have to drive on the downtown connector, I-285 North or I-85 North.

There is nothing livable for families in downtown Atlanta. The crime is still bad and the schools are the worst. If you are gay, it's great.

On what is happening in Atlanta? I merely stated what I saw from the Varsity today, nothing more, nothing less. I think we all recall that many thought Atlanta to be doomed. At least those of us who are life long Georgia residents, which I am. I'm of the opinion that a strong city of Atlanta is good for the entire state of Georgia

Oh yeah, the fried peach pies are still great...

The short notice meeting timed to keep The Citizen (and its predecessors) from being able to report it was perfected 20 years ago by PCDC and Fred (the real mayor) Brown.

What they do is barely comply with the law and keep public input and press coverage to a minimum. This is really helpful when a topic might be controversial - and more to the point - it works!
