Whitewater narrowly defeats Starr's Mill, 15-14

In what many in attendance will tell you was the greatest high school football game they ever saw, the Whitewater Wildcats defeated Starr's Mill 15-14 with just over a minute remaining in the game.

Starr's Mill took a 14-0 lead into the half thanks to two touchdown runs from quarterback Robby Davis. Halfway through the third quarter the Wildcats got on the scoreboard when quarterback Jay Bright connected on a pass to Cody Haralson who ran 80 yards for the touchdown. Their final score, one sure to go down in the annals of the school's history, came on a halfback pass from Tavorsi Dixon to Bright on a critical fourth down with 1:12 left on the clock. Bright scored the two point conversion on a quarterback keeper.

This was the first varsity meeting between these two teams and a classic rivalry has already been formed. Be sure to read the Wednesday edition of The Citizen for final stats, scores from all other region games and a look ahead to next week's games.

I would like to reiterate about something I said. The comment I made about why Tavorus Dixon is allowed to be at our high school was wrong. I have now talked to Dixon and several people who are more than qualified to re-enforce that Dixon does indeed live in WHS district. The game is far over yes there were controversial calls from both sides, but in the end the Wildcats were declared victorious. The Panthers are a more than capable team and deserve a playoff spot, however, the Wildcats have proved that and more. This was fun while it lasted now admit that Whitewater was the victor, fair and square.

is on special permission from John DeCotis to attend his senior year out of district. He now lives in the Lovejoy district.

Got this info from his mother Sunday via his cousin (who also attends WHS) .... but you know what?

No ONE GIVES A CRAP! Dude you are like - obsessed with this stupid game! Guess what? You are one of five high schools in a little county out of 151 counties in a little state out of 50 states and no one gives a CRAP about your school football team winning one of ten or more games in one of twenty five or more seasons! Holy cow dude you are even pissing me off and NO ONE EVER PISSES ME off...sorry.... anyway, Geez dude- get a life or something before we all get postal on you...I need a bowl - see you later!

and DeCotis himself, who has a child at Whitewater, wrote the "special permission" letter?" That is real nice. I had a child that went to FR and was to go to SC. Because of the constant problems at these schools and having to put up with the constant bickering, my child had a melt down. I took him to a shrink who gave them a battery of test and said the child was severely depressed and put him on lexipro. My child had never been to a shrink in his life till then!
I wrote a very nice letter to the FCBOE explaining the problem in detail and asking for their help. By that I meant that I would like to have their permission to move my kid to Whitewater to get him out of the enviroment that was causing the problem. I also stated that I was putting my house on the market, but wanted to be able to tell my child, if it hadn't sold in time, that he wouldn't have to go to SC. I was turned down flat! This was in the late spring. In the last part of June they sent me a letter n told me no way. My kid, who was spending the summer in another state with his father, freaked, signed a affidavid with the court that he wanted to live with his father rather than go to SC. I lost my kid! And you give "special permission" to someone at the...END.. of summer to STAY in Whitewater that doesn't even live in the county any more? Thanks a lot for nothing! When I moved here, it was a hardship, It took me 3 years to sell my other house. All that time, I paid 2 house notes and taxes in both counties. I never asked for anything. I made the sacrifices and did without. Now to add insult to injury...are you gonna tell me that if these people were evicted, they had, AND ARE PAYING...Fayette county $700.00 plus a month to keep this kid in school at Whitewater? That is a lot of BS! Thanks for nothing!

Submitted by IMNSHO on Thu, 10/26/2006 - 1:08am.

We all know that he is on special permission to attend WHS. That's not the issue so much as the BOE has ruled that any student attending any school with "special permission" (even if that student is an IN COUNTY student, attending a school out of their district), cannot play sports for that school.

So, bottom-line, he should not be playing for WHS.

I really don't care who won or not, or what calls were made or not. I do not have kids who attend either school. But I do care about everyone playing by the rules. And WHS is not, in this case.

Submitted by GloriaG on Thu, 10/26/2006 - 8:04am.

How can the BOE deny in-county, tax paying families children the opportunity to attend Whitewater and allow a student who obviously doesn't live in-county to attend this high school? Forget football, he shouldn't be at the school in the first place! This will get covered up and he will stay and nothing will change as far as the football goes, but Lakeside and Lakemont kids shouldn't be moved!!!
If only for this reason!!!!

Submitted by head_ragg on Thu, 10/26/2006 - 8:15am.

but they found a place for this kid....months...after I made my request! So full ...with what? Clayton county kids? or kids who know the right people? I had a much more valid reason for wanting to move my child. And, as I stated earlier, I said that I might be moved by then, but wanted to be able to tell my child if the house hadn't sold, it was ok. I believed what I was told.

if these people were evicted...is the school board telling us that they are coughing up $700.00 plus a month to pay for him to go to school here? Give me a brake!

thanks to this board..I now know. And you are saying that with a "special permission" letter the rules are you can't play sports for the new school. "Bottom-line, he shouldn't be playing for WHS."? Man you can say that again! How disgusing! Before anymore schools are built and kids drug around the county...the taxpayers should be told how many Clayton county kids we are paying to educate that are on "special permission"! The last time I checked...I paid taxes and the BOE was working at ..MY... expense! WOW! I didn't know they had their own little kingdom going on and made the rules as they pleased? I am sure Clayton county is touched that we are educating their children at Fayette county taxpayers expense!

Well, for starters, you have said "Penalties from one ref - who is probly related to Dixon or one of your other "Declared Homelss" , Special Permission, out of distict, and county employees kids (including people hired to mow grass)" In fact, you know NOTHING about the ref being related to anybody, or what their personal allegiences are. This was complete slander out of thin air. Secondly, you stated that Whitewater is "Playing clayton county 'ringers' while Brooks kids sat on the sidelines..." You have no evidence whatsoever that this is actually happening. In reality, the problem of students from Clayton county going to Fayette schools is a county-wide problem, and Sandy Creek has as much or more of a problem than Whitewater. By your stating these and other allegations as "fact" you taint what was a thrilling game for most of us on both sides. What I really hate is that there was a lot of good sportsmanship at the game, but your mudslinging is giving a much different impression.

The Marines I knew were highly disciplined and not prone to verbal diarrhea. Be a Marine! If you are honest, you will realize that the Whitewater players showed some of the same discipline as good Marines, when they didn't give up at halftime, when they were behind by 14-0, and it seemed that Robby Davis, the SMHS quarterback, was unstoppable. They figured out how to slow him down in the second quarter, and pulled off a remarkable victory. Give them credit where credit is due.

Three things- One at a time just for you:

Item 1) "The Marines I knew were highly disciplined and not prone to verbal diarrhea. Be a Marine! If you are honest, you will realize that the Whitewater players showed some of the same discipline as good Marines"

Answer 1) Don't tell me how to be a Marine slackjaw, and your high school kids are certainly not Marines. You have a very high opinion of a bunch of high school boys - who don't risk their lives for their country. The next time you tell me how to be a Marine - do it to my face.

Item 2.)"you stated that Whitewater is "Playing clayton county 'ringers' while Brooks kids sat on the sidelines..." You have no evidence whatsoever that this is actually happening."

Answer 2) You would have to be the last person in the county to know this but Tavarious Dixon lives in Clayton County. I suggest YOU check and read some of the other blogs while you are at it. I KNOW where he lives - you should find out too. It's really not that hard to do. Bottom line is - you don't give a crap as long as he is on 'your' team.

Item 3)"In fact, you know NOTHING about the ref being related to anybody, or what their personal allegiences are. This was complete slander out of thin air."

Answer 3) You don't know the official either - so you don't know what his motivation or allegencies are either - so your opinion a lie does not make.

You sir are lose with your accusations and replete with ignorance.

Before you call a man a liar - YOU need to know the facts.

Any other "lies" you need cleared up Alan?

And by the way, why is it you are not a Marine? Bad back?

Gump's picture
Submitted by Gump on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 5:43pm.

What I said is that you have verbal diarrhea and are playing loose with the truth. You are repeatedly stating your opinions as fact.

Dixon may live in Clayton County for all I know, but you stated that Whitewater is playing a bunch of Clayton County "ringers". That's not true.

The reason I'm not a Marine is that I chose the Air Force, served 24 years, including combat duty in three wars, and now I'm retired. I didn't just talk the talk, I walked the walk. There's nothing wrong with my back, and I don't like bullies.

I'm not saying those kids are Marines yet, but some of them will be in a couple of years, so give them some respect. And give yourself some respect by watching the tone of your postings.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 5:53pm.

Good. Now - you need to find out where he lives - I already know. He is your best player - hands down.

I never said it was a FACT that the ref was related - it was however a FACT thast the flags completely changed to game. Want to argue that too?

We haven't had three wars in the last 24 years so that's quite a feat you have performed. Help me understand what three wars you were in. I have been to two conflict in the last ten years and I thought that was good. What did you do in the Air Force?

I'll respect 'them' in to my brotherhood when they are Marines - not while they are maggots. (You wouldn't understand) That's why I recruit them ... to make them 'Real Men'.

By the way - ignore Enigma - she hijacked my laptop from her mother's house and she is NOT coming to WWHS next year. Her father is in Mundy's Mill District (Where T. Dixon lives).

If anything, she will attend Sandy Creek, and that's a big IF.

Gump's picture
Submitted by Gump on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 6:10pm.

I don't want to post my personal bio online, but if you start with Desert Storm, you can certainly come up with more than three wars since then. (even a Marine can count past three, hee hee) Do you really need a list? I'll send it to you offline if you want. Anyway, I just want you to admit that they played a good game. (BOTH teams) I will grant you that there were a couple of flags near the end of the game that did indeed factor in to the outcome, but you can't say the ref was cheating.

Bottom line--I'm not one of those rabid "only Cats in town" fans, I just want the level of discourse to return to a more mature level.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 6:35pm.

I'm a Fayette County Graduate who is now a Patriot Fan. I played Football at FCHS and we sucked.

I Did not fight in Desert Storm. I did fight in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

I am now a military recruiter. I will go back to my Unit in February and probably back to Iraq. I am in Recon and I love it. Recruiting is boring.
'combat controller' I think he was called - he was a great guy. We called him a token - as in token Marine. Last I heard he was still in country.

I was at the game Friday with a man I grew up with that made me a Marine and a man. He is the one (OdSchoolFootball) who told me I should get on here and play around. Says it's good for thinking and typing. He was on here until some people basically ran him off and treated him like crap. I love him like a father and I am angry about what Basmati and and A-10 Air Force guy said about him and to him.

The A-10 pilot had the manhood to apologize and correct his incorrect accusations and admit he was wrong - not Basmati - who also bad mouthed the Marine Corps (OoRah) in the process.

I feel sure I will leave this blog too. I am heading back tomorrow to Atlanta and will be seeing OldSchool tonight about ten when his flight comes back in.

I think the whole blog got started with a guy nammed Hammer1 (who Oldschool likes for some reason) said they were the "Only real cats in town". Hr wouldn't respond but was pissed so I did. I played for the Fayette County Tigers and was offered a scholarship, which I turned down to go in the Marine Corps Officer Training Program. I think OldSchool took offense to the "Only Cats" remark so I did too.

We were at the game. It was a shame anyone had to lose. Even after all of that it looked like starr's Mill was going to go down and kick a field goal. -

Enough about me- enough about this. I need to get to the Airport and get ready for work. Keep the blogs going for me and OldSchool. We may be watching you guys! Eye-wink

If one player can win or lose a game than as far as I’m concerned the FCBoE should be paying him to come to our school system.

County high schools should be able to bid on them, with private funds.

As far as “bad” calls are concerned, I’m willing to bet it’s not the first or last time such a thing will happen.

If the behavior here, on the blog, by the parents is any indication of how you raise you kids, haven help us.

Yes, it is ONLY a game. But let the kids have some passion and let them learn to observe and function under the appropriate rules and guidelines of sports and attendance.

You should know by now that I love to argue and will certainly 'give and take' with the WWHS crowd on here.

Sports are a training ground. There are rules in sports as in life. I don't really care if WWHS beats SMHS by 100 points.

Besides, I am just hammering some of the more arrogant bloggers "the only cat in town" clowns.

My biggest genuine concern is - are the students learning that rules apply to all of us? Even Football Players?

Also, I do think WWHS should 'clean up the farm' before kicking the tax payers kids out to pasture.

Our Brooks and Fayette kids should be first - thats why we pay the high property taxes.

I think everyone should accept the fact that it was a good game and that tavorious is a good player whether or not he is out of district he is here with permission and he is a wonderful player.

You may want to try the lube after all - I think the chaffing is affecting your mental capacity.

I'm a huge Fayette County Tigers fan, SMHS Panther fan, McIntosh Cheifs fan and of course, by beloved Sandy Creek Patriots fan/booster. Why else would I go to those games?

Sorry, but it's just the self rightous and arrogant cheaters at Whitewater that I dislike. Thos who steal from the taxpayers. That would pretty much just be the Administration and coaches who know what's going on - and of course those of you who condone it.

Not that you care but my mother's property values will be financially impacted so that you can watch clayton county players take the positions reserved for Fayette County/WWHS district residents.

But then again - that's not what you consider a fact either is it?

OJ is a good icon and role model for you.

It goes along with what you have taught the WWHS family - "you must get caught - or the officials can be bought". Or, "You can cheat - it's better than being beat". Maybe even
"Keep recruiting from Clayton, even if the community be hate'n".

So what if people are out of district if they have special permission or if a parent works for the system then it is not breaking the rules. I go to fayette county where we lose all the time. It is just a game i dont know why everyone is geting so upset about it. Tavoris is a good player i have been watching him play for over 5 years in blue devils and at whitewater high school he is amazing and deserves respect. I doubt half of the students at wwhs and smhs are getting worked up about it like you are. If it was a good game then it was let it be and move on there will be more games.

Nice touch in your article: "Their final score, one sure to go down in the annals of the school's history, came on a halfback pass from Tavorsi Dixon to Bright on a critical fourth down with 1:12 left on the clock."

As a journalist I want to challange you to put this to rest for the parents at WWHS who are clearly NOT going to find out for themselves.

Tavorsi Dixon lives in Clayton County but attends Whitewater High School.

Can you help the taxpayers of this county understand why kids here are being moved FROM WWHS to other schools while Tavorsi Dixon (and others) are playing football and going to school AT WWHS but do not live either in the district or in the county?

I think you would have a front page story that might help us understand why kids are being moved from the WWHS district to Fayette County under the redistricting proposal.

Will an asteric that states the pass was from a student that lived in another county be recorded as well?

If I lived in Lakemont - I would be furious!

Please respond.

Tavoris has attended Whitewater middle and high all 7 years. you are a sore loser and you need to get over the fact that SMHS lost to an "in county" team. All people see hard times sooner or later in life his just so happens to be now.

p.s. tell the football players over there that painting wildcat way was a real classy move.

Submitted by aeh16 on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 2:09pm.

what is your problem so what we have someone from clayton country in our school. that means it is ok with the fcboe & if people in lakemont want their kids to go to whitewater then they can do the same. obvisously dixion's parents want him to get a better education then he would going to school in clayton county so they sent him here. so get over yourself & deal with the fact that smhs lost. it was a good game & you shouldn't be making everyone angry over a great game.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 2:12pm.

My Problem? Okay - take a poll - how many Fayette county taxpayers want to allow Clayton County to send students here. Oh, by the way, your kids and your house is not no longer allowed to go there. You must be clueless. Hey, we beat you, so you're right - who cares??

Submitted by aeh16 on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 1:53pm.

the whitewater cheerleaders would never moon or make fun of the other smhs fan...the cheerleaders have to much respect for the other people who cheer on smhs to do that. but before someone wants to start crap about the cheerleaders of whs you might want to know that most of them are friends with smhs cheerleaders & if any cheerleader did that they would get kicked off the team. so before you start making stuff up learn what kind of people you are messing with.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 2:07pm.

I personally saw one of your cheeleaders rubbing her eyes and laughing at kids in the SMHS stands. That's just a fact - she was a young, thin, black girl.

You will have to ask the SMHS trainer about the other. I was walking by the door of the coaches offices when he came up saying he was just 'mooned' by a WWHS cheer leader on the bus. My friend hear him as well.

I have no problem with the fans - they were great.

I have no problem with the kids at all - they are just kids.

I have a problem with the calls (maybe it's time for replay in HS?) but the biggest problem I have is the tax payers being moved BACK to FCHS while a clayton county player is at WWHS throwing the winning pass.

Smells like recruiting out of county palyers from here.

Submitted by aeh16 on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 2:12pm.

once again the cheerleaders of whs have to much respect for their elders. & the calls unless you are a certified ref. you don't need to complain about the calls.

You are all right.

It shouldn't matter if you have kids out of district.

It shouldn't matter if you have kids out of county.

It shouldn't matter if you moon trainers or make fun of other students.

It shouldn't matter if your own slogan "ONLY cat in town" makes fun of the other two high schools.

It shouldn't matter if you waive a flag in the faces of the home kids to antagonise them.

It shouldn't matter if you won on penalties.

it shouldn't matter if a player from another county threw the winning touchdown.

It shouldn't matter if you get a bell to copy Starr's Mill.

It shouldn't matter if you lost to the Patriots after talking so much trash you ruined your reputation with the west side of the county.

It shouldn't matter that tax payers are moved out while Clayton county players are moved in.

It shouldn't matter that you tried to recruit two SMHS players this year.

It shouldn't matter that you illegally filmed Starr's Mill in the dome this year - twice.

It shouldn't matter that your SAT scores are the lowest in the county.

It shouldn't matter that you claim superiority even withour ever winning any titles yet.

It shouldn'tmatter that your baseball and fotball players attacked kids with bats and were arrested in season and still started the next and every other game after that.

It shouldn't matter that your best 8th grade player is out of district.

But it does to some of us. And you want 'respect'???

LOL...

Your own student, mjcIII, the flag waiver, just told you ... can't you read? Hopw dishonest are you? What are YOU teaching your kids?

What do you people want- a copy of his special permission letter? Yea, right...lol

As usual - no answers to the questions I asked you.

If you REALLY care - (and you don't or you would ask the people at the school he attends) - why don't you ask Amos McCreary, or ask your WWHS students, teachers or coaches ... they know where he lives.

But that's too much trouble for you - you want a Sandy Creek supporter to do it for you.

Maybe you can ask the county for a list of students attending WWHS on special permission?? I doubt you would get it - privacy and all.

Enjoy your Clayton County players - I hope they get your Brooks girls pregnant Smiling

Play us again next year - beating your clown corp was the most fun we had this year! I love it when the smallest school in the county beats the biggest school in the county. getting over crowded with all the Clayton county kids!

(AAA)Pats 17 - (AAAA) WWHS 14

Happy re-districting.

and again just like the WHS SMHS game. If you barely win... it's not that much to brag about. Yes. I give SCHS props for winning that game and yes they have bragging rights. But WHS didn't play good that game and SCHS did. So, yall deserve to win. But barely winning means both teams were close to being equal in that game.

Losing a simple game of football can cause a person to nearly drive themselves mad by arguing. I would hate to see how angry this man would get if he argued about something that was actually important. But in order to make himself feel bigger and better he feels the need to blow things wat out of proportion. You should have just said whitewater played a better and beat us. But you felt the need to bring in all these other factors that no one cares to hear. I am glad that you know the excat location of tavoris dixions house. I am sure you stop by and say hello quite often. I know where he lives and I just want to hear you back up the statements you felt the need to rant about. But you did not. Youre rebuttal was something that we all read ealier. Nice way to back up your "facts".

Beat us? Are you crazy.... we beat you 17-14 ... have you already forgotten that? You know - the smallest school in the county - the one you tried to intimidate? SCHS 17 - WWHS - 14 Smiling

I do not know if you know this but at the beginning of the school year all the students at WWHS need to bring in a gas bill, electric bill, or some other utility bill as their proof of residence. Now if he didnt bring one in he would not be playing football and if he brought in a fake one dont you think he would of gotten caught and kicked out of school? Or is this one of those dont ask dont tell policys? Again you have failed to back up your statments and further proves that you are not sure if it is fact or fiction. It is ture that SCHS beat us and I give you kudos on your victory. You gave us a hell of a game and beat us fair and square. Just like we beat SMHS.

Whitewater nips Starr's Mill 15-14
Trickery, 2-point try wins for 'Cats

By KURT ASCHERMANN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 10/21/06

In a game pitting two Fayette County teams that are located less than five miles apart, the outcome came down to a matter of inches.

Whitewater quarterback Jay Bright caught a halfback pass from Tavoris Dixon for a 12-yard touchdown, and Bright ran in the two-point conversion to send Whitewater to a come-from-behind, 15-14 victory against Starr's Mill.

Poor Officiating and Penalties????
Dixon (and others) on special Permission????
Did he get in on the Two-Point attempt????

Care to comment????

Submitted by mjcIII on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 11:30am.

I wanted to apologize for the comment I made last night, OldSchool. It was very late at night (look @ the time stamp) and I am sick of our team not receiving the respect they deserve. I took your comment commment as hostile, when it was meant to be purely for debate. Again my apologies.

Submitted by mjcIII on Sat, 10/21/2006 - 11:47pm.

What you may not know "Old School", is that one of the Starr's Mill players (who will remain nameless) was on special permission to play in the game. He had gotten a MIP (minor in possession)[hence our M I P! chant at the game]. By GHSA rules he must sit out 25% of the season. They brought him back for this game; apparently they found a loophole. Regardless of this change and Starr’s Mill having all of their star players we still beat them. You have been talking trash all season about our team. Now it is time to man up, grow some balls and admit that we are a team to reckon with.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 9:44am.

You're an idiot. There is no player with MIP charges on Starr's Mill - that's called slander. Is this your way of justfying that Dixon, #5, lives in Clayton county? Come on - use names, I will. Penalties from one ref - who is probly related to Dixon or one of your other "Declared Homelss" , Special Permission, out of distict, and county employees kids (including people hired to mow grass). Are you so ignorant you are unaware of these facts?? I doubt it - I just don't think you care. When are you guys going to post your SAT scores? Having touchdowns called back on bogus calls cost Starr's Mill this game. I saw it - I was with Old School and he saw it. We actually thought it was sad - we didn't care who won as much as wanted to see who was the better team - which was clearly Starr's Mill. Playing clayton county 'ringers' while Brooks kids sat on the sidelines cost Starr's Mill aTD or two but it will cost those kids who actually live here, who would have played an experience they will NEVER get back. Even your 8th grade team has a student, again, the best player on the WWMS team, who is supposed to go to another school. Looks like your Blue Devil Dads are doing more recruiting than coaching. You knw what, come to think of it, the only reason I care is that we want everyone to do to you what we did - BEAT YOU - because of arrogant trash talking idiots like you. Please excuse my ignorance but will someone explain to me in exact detail what qualifies a child to attend a school out of district and/or out of county. I keep reading of these large numbers of children in the wrong schools and feel with all the redistricting going on we as tax payers of Fayette County have the right to know. I welcome anyones input.

We aren't, but we do have out an out of district player mainly because when we started our school, they were a little more lenent. As was the case when Starrs Mill opened 9 years ago.

RightOnTheMoney is neither "on the money" nor a winner. What a loser--the game was very close and Whitewater players did a heroic job of coming from behind. Both teams played very well, and nobody needs to talk trash. It's a shame that jerks like you get to spout your venom online. What I saw at the game was a lot of intermingling and friendly behavior on both sides. For example, the SMHS cheerleaders came over to the Whitewater side and chatted up the WHS cheerleaders at one point during the halftime.

The penalty calls that negated a couple of touchdown plays were made prior to the play breaking open--the flag was thrown near the line of scrimmage and was justified. Your assertion that the refs were biased or even related to one of the players reflects more on your own bias and bad sportsmanship than on the game officiating.

Your assertion that SMHS was "clearly" the better team was just sour grapes from a poor loser. The two teams were very well matched, with the exception that the SMHS quarterback is an exceptional athlete, and he almost ran away with the game. Kudos to the Whitewater defense for finally containing him to some degree. Both sides played an excellent game. Shame on you for not being man enought to admit that.

I guess you won't aever ddress that will you. The defense NEVER contained the Starr's Mill Quarterback or offense - the one official who called back the touchdown and other long plays did. Duh - my point??

Alanrc54 - humm...you are one of those Blue Devil dady recruiters aren't you??

you know, the only score that really matters to me is: Pats 17 - WWHS Copycats - 14 OoRah!!

You are right about one thing - the cheerleaders from SMHS were great, and the administration and fans were great too - they even let the WWHS kids tailgate in the SMHS parking lot!

On the other hand, the WWHS cheerleaders 'mooned' the SMHS trainer in the parking lot from the bus and the "Jolly Roger" flag boy ran over and waived the flag in the face of the SMHS kids. Other WWHS cheerleaders made fake "rubbing your tear" motions to the SMHS sidelines at the end of the game. Yes, very classy indeed. Meow!

Ok since you want to play pins and needles here you go. Our team is plagued with injuries. Two of our top receivers, Jonathan Bringel and Jarrod Richardson have ACL injuries. Besides the fact Starr’s Mill having all of their starter's injuries healed and 100% we beat you. Addressing redistricting, Tavorus has been going to school with us since 6th grade he was allowed to go to our school because of how long he has been with our class and the lack of being in/causing trouble. He also hasn't been given the ball this year nearly as much as say two of our Brooks boys, aka Cody Haralson and Colin Woody. Woody got the ball a hell of a lot more than Dixon, however he did not gain a lot of yardage, hence our frustration in the first half. Both of our touchdowns were run by Brooks boys, and yes Dixon did help, but again it is nothing you haven't known about since our freshman year when we played the exact same team, minus Robby Davis, and slaughtered them 32-6. Admit you saw an amazing game, and that we are a team to reckon with. For, I will admit that Starr's Mill is a fantastic team and an established program. We had more heart than them and more desire so we came out on top.

FYI I am the flag boy. I waved the Flag in front of th SMHS kids because I know most of them and they all have been talking trash about us at XC meets, restaurants, and other social gatherings. I was friends with them before the game and still am hereafter, because unlike you they can admit the lost and move on. So take that into account when you think of class.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 11:33am.

So, you admit taunting the SMHS kids with your flag. Good. And, you are the first to admit that Travoris Dixon is from Clayton County - good. Now you can identify the WWHS cheerleader that mooned the Trainer, aknowledge the other players that you have on special permission and talk about the calls that cost SMHS the game and you will be somewhere near reality. Answer ONE question:

Did penalties called against Starr's Mill change the outcome of the game? Yes, or No

That's all you have to ask before you start this chest thumping "we are the only cat in town" crap. Can you mhonestly answer the question Hammer, Flag Boy? Can you? Are you man enough to answer honestly that ONE little question. You have already admitted your touchdown was thrown by a Clayton County resident. Can you finish being honest?

What does it matter that a player might be from Clayton? So sorry people want to come to WHS. I mean, we are an awesome school and people want to go there, is that a cime? So the "out of district" people, who have been there forever choose whs over other schools. Now they should not be allowed to play because they have been with us forever and want to go to Whitewater. You're just jealous that you don't have them. And, it has never been brought up until this game. I find it hard to believe that every person at SMHS is in district.

BTW... WHS has 1 W. WHITEWATER it's one word..

Get over it. Both teams were good. The game was a 1 point loss.. find something better to do with your time. If it was a complete blow out i could maybe see trash talking.

You nran all the way across the field after the game to waive your flag in the faces of the SMHS kids - that my little man makes you look ignorant.

If, as you admit, even ONE of the MOJOR and, at the very least, questionable flags changed the outcome of the game, how then do you say you are the better team or worked or tried harder?

Your TD pass came from a kid who should not have even been at your school! He should have been in Clayton County where hee lives - with his neighbors!! What a joke!

By the way, the Fayette County tax payers paid over $30,000 for your out of district football players. Dixon alone cost us over $7400 JUST this year.

On the other hand, you gave Clayton County an extra $7400 - $35,000 to help them out. I'm sure they would like to thank the kids on the bench watching Clayton county resident Dixon throw the winning pass.

Between your admission of the penalties changing the outcome, aknowledging your best player lives in Clayton County and the behavior I have outlined of you, your cheerleaders, and your famns, I think anyone who reads these blogs will get the picture.

I will give you kudos young man for one thing. You have been more honest than any other Whitewater blogger I have seen. You deserve credit for that and you (aside from the flag incident) are the type of student we DO respect and DO want and CAN be proud of.

Calls are calls, you can’t change them! Why don't you show some maturity and admit so, do you complain when calls are bad but go your way? Do you apologize to the opposing team? Come on man, you are taking away from the athletes on both teams by pinning this on calls. It's funny that the real SM fans did not see it your way, why do you care so much?
Your disdain towards our school, that’s why!

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 11:56am.

You have NOT answered the question. Did the penalties called against Starr's Mill Change the oputcome of the game?

I will answer yours though. The reason I dislike WWHS is the arrogance you all seem to display - and I am not alone by a long shot my friend.

Example from JUST Friday night - like your flag boy who admitted running al the way around SMHS's track to waive the flag in the face of SMHS kids who were crying.

Like the cheerleader who literally showed her butt from tyhe bus to the Trainer,

Like the cheerleader who rubbed her eyes and mocked the players and fans who cried ate the end of the game

like the first blog on this topic the YOU wrote titled "WWHS the ONLY cat in town".

I had a son who played at FCHS and they are cats too - you my hypocritical friend are the ones who have shown your butts.

Some of us, who DID beat you, feel the need to put you in check.

Facts - you barely won three of your last four games..... you have never won even a region championship

in fact, you are the only school in the county to never win a region or state championship.

Yet you somehow feel as though you are better than the rest. That you can show you butts and we are supposed to respect that- you better recognize. it's time for your school to reflect partner.

During re-districting we are NOT happy to find your football team is full of players from Clayton county and other districs. At over 7ooo a year, we are funding your football program and we are not happy about it - got it Sweat?? You reading this too?? DeCotis?? Anyone from the board? The tax payers paid over 7,000 so you could watch Dixon play football this year against and in place of Fayette county tax payers children. With at least five others that's $35000 bucks - and dad mowed the grass?? That's wrong buddy.

I admit that many of the actions of whitewater students and athletes were wrong. I understand that many of you think we are like that at every game. But one of the main reasons for actions like that is we where losing and were so close to coming back that we where not think about other people and decided to let our wild side take over. I do not approve of the flag waving and mooning. But I do belive that if Starrs Mill would have won they would do the same thing. That is my opinon. Now that I have cleared those actions up; how do you rationalize the actions of the students that spray painted "you pay the refs" on wildcat way. I personally think that is worse then waving a flag. No the calls were what the refs saw and penailzed both sides. I do not think that it is fair to say the calls toward the end of the game "wrong". Your emotions tell you to think that way. Just like we felt when something didnt go our way during the first half. We were irrational. I will be the first to admit it. I hope you will do the same.

How do you feel about your best player being from another county?

How do you feel about people who live in OUR county not being allowed to go to WWHS because of redistricting (even though they bought houses to go to WWHS) but those players like Dixon can and do - even from other counties?

How do you feel about a Clayton County player throwing the winning touchdown against SMHS?

As for the Vandalsim - like when WWHS kids painted on Jenkins road this year - is always wrong. SMHS kids should be ashamed and should be punished. I rc=ecommend charges being filed unlike when your kids came after ours with bats last year and played ball that same weekend.

Maybe you can pay Eric Berry's dad to clean it off and then bring Eric Berry to WWHS to play quarterback?

Listen you know nothing about thatfight. I was one of the ones arrested. The SC kids tracked us down when we were at a surprise B-day party and demanded that we meet them somewhere to "handle everything". I was hit with a bat after the SC kids pronounced "drop your weapons and fight like men. Then Logan Haney came after me with a bat hit me in the head. Needless to say I was unconsious. He was never prosecuted for this even after a fedral grand jury indited him with Felony Aggrivated Assualt. He wen on to college without penalty as did Tyler Betsel(a prime intigator of the fight), who went on to play baseball that very same year.

I have not seen you back up any of your claims. I just hear opinons being stated over and over again. I did not hear about the jenkins road incident. What happened? Well you are about the most ignorant person blogging right now. We haven't won any region championship, because this is our first year in any region. We were forced to play a non-region schedule for 3 years. Now we have a chance to show you we are a good team and I think to all those in this county, our outside, can see that we have more than proved that. The fact that you an adult fighting with a 17 year old kid, because you have sour grapes and are still a poor loser after all these years, shows your level of maturity. I really have no clue about out of county players, I have never been to T's house, so I don't know where he lives. Reguardless, Tavorus is not the only player on the team and his performance doesn't decide whether or not we lose, as does Eric Berry. We also have super 11 WR Cody Haralson who accounted for the first touchdown. Or Brice Thomas who has accounted for more tackles and leadership on defense than almost anyone else on D. Or Jordan Cooper our star kicker who has made the deciding kicks in several of our wins. Admit that you lost, so that you can partially redeem your frivolous poutings.

Submitted by RightOnTheMoney on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 12:34pm.

You did not HAVE to play a non-region schedule - you chose to. Would you like a list of schools (that played a region schedule before having a senior class)??

You admit to having out of district players Duh.

You admit the Clayton County resident threw your TD pass. Duh.

You admit penalties called on Starr's Mill Changed the outcome of the game. Duh.

We (The Patriots) beat you 17-14 that makes YOU the loser. Duh.

Your actions (like waiving a flag in the face of the home fans, mooning the Trainer, etc. as if YOU actually played?)not the game score makes you a loser.

When you actually become a tax payer - then you can decide if funding out of county football players at a school that already has 45 seniors playing is wrong (especially at a time of re-districting - telling tax payers they can't go to a county school while allowing T. Dixon, and others at WWHS from Clayton County to so he can play football)

Until then - learn some humility and stop being so arrogCAT.

As you see in the other blogs directed to you, where you made other personal attacks on OldSchool and others, your chicken %$&t attacks on a 70 year old and others have made quite a few of us upset. So,liberal pansy, you man enough to meet me in person in place of OldSchool?

A brief recap is perhaps called for here: your “mentor” Old Fool is one of the few right wing extremists on this board (his buddy Herr Major is another). Those two are on record as saying that its worth a few boys getting sodomized as long as Republicans stay in power. I have a problem with that. Your buddy the Old Fool is also on record for supporting curtailing and restricting Constitutional rights to certain groups of Americans based on race (i.e. Arabic). I have a problem with that, as well. Finally, and most repulsively, your buddy the Old Fool is an enthusiastic proponent of torturing civilians. I got a real big problem with that.

I confronted your extremist buddy the Old Fool, and told him I had a problem with his repulsive beliefs. He seemed to think that he was immune from criticism, because he was (in order) A) black; B) old and black; and C) an old black Marine. Had you not shown up, I’m sure we would have eventually progressed to D) an old black double amputee Marine, E) a Congressional Medal of Honor winning old black double amputee Marine, and finally F) a Congressional Medal of Honor winning old black double amputee Marine who lost his wife, mistress and family dog when the World Trade Center collapsed.

Like him, you seem to entertain the notion that being 70 years old somehow entitles someone to be able to run his or her mouth without any regards to the consequences. I’m here to disabuse both you and him of that notion.

I notice you come in here, registered all of two weeks, and instantly start spewing your own mouth left and right. If you are a Marine like you say you are, I sincerely hope you exercise a little more discipline with your M-16 in Iraq than you do with you with your mouth here, because otherwise my friend you are a war crime just waiting to happen.

So now you want to take this to “real life”. You wanna meet me on the school playground and beat me up (are you SURE you’re over 18?). And you’re gonna try and rile me up, calling me names like “liberal pansy”.

*chuckle* What a real “he man” you are. Needless to say, it ain’t gonna happen. You started talking trash here first (remember? I disagreed with your disgrace-to-the-Marines buddy so you suggested DFACS should take my kids away. Cute.). You start it here, I’ll be more than happy to continue it here, until you bluster your way into retreating, like your buddy the Old Fool or you do something that gets you banned here.

In closing, I’d like to clarify two misconceptions you’ve attributed to me: first of all, my criticism of your demented buddy the Old Fool was not meant as a blanket criticism of the US Marine Corps, despite what you implied. Secondly, I’ve never called anyone a “baby killer” in my life. I’d ask you for an apology for putting words in my mouth, but I suspect you lack the honor and character to do so, that purdy uniform you wear notwithstanding.

Like several high school student here have said, you need to grow up.
