Steve Brown Has Them Worried

The developer crowd is terrified of Steve Brown. It’s evolving into some kind of mental disorder with Robert W. Morgan and Pandora. Just because they keep screwing things up like the development authority corruption, buying dumps from their friends with our tax dollars, ultra-high density projects, our sewer into Coweta, etc. they get angry for being exposed. These desperate people get anxious because their over bloated financial future is at stake.

Their arguments stink. How about Morgan’s “high density is our friend” position he keeps throwing out there. They’re so limited in their defenses that nearly all they can do is blame Steve Brown for giving the developers, who want to operate way outside of local land plans and kill our road capacity, a bad name. Brown wasn’t a bad boy like Lenox and his sleazy deals. Logsdon hasn’t done himself any favors either. They’ll say the people who write letters to the editor, free speech, the postman, the neighbor’s dog, even the lady at the library, they’re all Steve Brown!

Jim Wooten from the AJC said it best, “It's congestion, stupid. Bring us a plan to fix it — or quit adding density in areas that make it worse.” The Direct PACer’s, the developers and their puppet mayors are only making it worse for us all. Gosh darn that Steve Brown for opposing them!

Spear Road Guy - you are acting like a fool.

Understand something - please.

No one actually cares what Steve Brown thinks, writes or does - anymore. He was voted out of office big time and is now irrelevant.

There is no "Development Crowd" any more than there is an "Anti-Development Crowd" Your comments are offensive and divisive. Stop it until you actually understand a few basic facts - unless you are Steve Brown or one of his 2 remaining Kool-Aid drinkers - that would be Rothley and the dwarf.

The majority of PTC citizens care much more about quality of the life they bought into much more than the petty political crap about conspiricies and traffic and development. Those who don't like development can fight it, embrace it or move away. Your choice.

Anyone who thought that development of the surrounding area was not going to happen is a huge fool. You don't have to support development or even like it, but if you have even half a brain, you must know it was bound to occur.

My choice is to stay here and raise my family in one of the best places I have ever lived in or even visited. The complainers - like Brown do not influence me or my friends. My kids love going to school on a golf cart and how can you replace that joy with an obsession with a d*** ***d like Steve Brown?

Actually, Rothley and the dwarf are the same.

Don't get foamed at the mouth about Brown. He is back to being a side show in a not very interesting - or even a well-attended carnival.

And there is indeed a "Development Crowd" They are also the Volunteer Crowd, Donator Crowd, Support the Police, Fire and EMT Crowd, PTA Crowd and many others who built the city and did not especially profit from it - except in their enhanced lifestyle. Add to that the many service organizations that thrive on growth through increased membership and hefty donations that go back into the community every day and there you have a complete list of your "Development Crowd"

Do something - don't just complain.

Mudcat is always the one accusing Steve Brown of all kinds of things. There's obsession alright.

Mudcat is just smarter than the rest of us. Mudcat knew all along that TDK would be built, they would add a million feet of retail and loads of homeowners. The rest of us just thought that Coweta might follow their long standing land plan with lower density, stupid us.

If your a developer's cat, I guess you know more about these things like never trust the Chamber of Commerce.

Brown and Dunn were both voted out more for their abrasive personalities than for their policy stands. Brown was right on many, many issues----- like TDK.... And, yes Virginia there is a development crowd. Yes, we expected surrounding areas to develop but with caution and with vision. This had not happened.

Example: if Senoia announced that they were going to put in a 20 story high rise apartment complex on Rockaway Road, I would have expected our local politicians to defeat based on the overwhelming and inappropriate impact on the area.

Chamber made us all look bad

I'm an open markets kind of guy. I think that people in real estate development should be able to do what they want with their property. Although it was a pity the Chamber of Commerce pulled the stunt they did to mislead the public on the road. Crap like that makes everybody look bad. Reese and Leslie should have just said what they were going to do and be done with it.
