The election is over. Everyone can take a deep breath, right? Not.

This years elections are leaving a taste in my mouth that is kind of hard to get rid of – like drinking sour milk. On top of that bitter after taste there is a stench that lingers.

Sort of takes your breath away. Let the state manage our schools, our cities, our spending, our local taxes.... and lets sell that as a knight in white armor saving us from our failing local property tax system which we have no control over..

Yesterday the French President (?) said that "the world" should prepare for the possibility of a war with Iran over their nuclear program. Since France has always in the past taken a contrary position to just about everything US, this is a change. But it worries me. Anyone out there believe that we are moving closer to a war or similar with Iran? Sure seems to me like "they" are starting to spin it, moving in the direction of taking some sort of preemtive (sp?) strike on the Clerics in Iran. Anyone else out there thinking that?

Illegal immigration update: Get ready to start paying

The impact of the defeat of a rational immigration bill brought on by the extreme right as well as the impact of the plethora of politicized municipal and state anti-illegal immigration legislation is having an effect on our economy much sooner than I anticipated.
