 School board accepts sales tax

The mood was somber at the
Fayette County Board of Education Wednesday morning,
following a night of disappointing election returns
on the $90 million sales tax/bond package.
Line Creek apartments to be

Commission holds its regular monthly meeting Monday
at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
School board sets millage rate
The Fayette County Board of
Education Wednesday tentatively set the rate for this
year's property taxes at 19.84 mills for maintenance
and operation and 3.69 mills for its debt service
Wednesday.

Commission voted at its regular monthly meeting to
recommend the allocation of $5,000 for playground
improvements at Peachtree City Elementary School.
