Coweta County Commissioner Robert Wood will be attending the National Association of County Community and Economic Development annual conference this weekend in Los Angeles.

NACO president Vernon Gray appointed Wood to be a part of the new economic development task force developed to assist the NACO president with his economic development initiative during the coming year.

“In this time of prosperity, most counties are experiencing tremendous growth in their economies,” Gray said, “but some counties are being left behind. I would like to find out why.”

Wood has served on the NACO Economic Development Committee since 1993.
