Line Creek apartments to be discussed again

By MONROE ROARK

The proposed apartments on Line Creek Parkway make up one of the scheduled topics of discussion when the Peachtree City Planning Commission holds its regular monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The conceptual site plan for the apartment complex is listed as an old agenda item on the tentative agenda released this week. The plan was tabled at an earlier meeting due to problems with buildings being placed in wetland areas on the original plan.

The only new agenda item listed is the conceptual site plan for the Royal Learning Center on Commerce Drive North.

City staff also are currently reviewing conceptual site plans for the proposed Wal-Mart/Home Depot commercial center on Ga. Highway 54 and the Southeast Properties warehouse on Ga. Highway 74. Neither item is on Monday's agenda, however.

In other city planning news, the final site plan for The Avenue shopping center at City Circle and the preliminary plat for the Lexington Park subdivision near Hwy. 54 and Walt Banks Road have received staff approval.

Landscape plans for the McIntosh High School practice fields, the Kelly Drive water treatment plant and the Cardiff Park entrance and amenity area on Planterra Way are now being reviewed by city staff.

Revised plans are expected soon for Camden Hill on Ebenezer Road, the first phase of Cedarcroft on Line Creek Parkway, the Home Depot at Kedron Village and the Royal Highlands subdivision at Avalon Park.

Site improvements for the Sprint installation at the Tiernan and Patrylo tower, as well as the Photocircuits lighting plan for 320 Dividend Drive, have received staff approval.

A certificate of occupancy has been issued for On the Border at Market Place.
