Moms in Touch pray for schools, kids

Moms In Touch (MIT) is a single-minded ministry with a simple mission — to pray for their children and the schools they attend. Once a week, a group of between four and 12 mothers gather at a participant's home for one hour of prayer.

I wrote about the great annual experience of back to school a couple of weeks ago, but there's also another great “back-to-...” that occurs at this time each year: back-to-Sunday School.

Boosters and booze a thousand times nooo!!

I hope you read the article on the front page of The Citizen newspaper Wednesday, Aug. 25, entitled, “Boosters + Beer = Big Bucks.” In this article it laid out the expenses and funds needed to support the high school sports teams and the difficulty in raising funds, which I'm sure is very true.
