Renegades place second at major tourney

When the softball season ended in Fayette County, there were a number of girls who just were not ready to stop. Teaming up with some like-minded girls from Henry County, a new team was formed. They called themselves the Renegades.

Softball registration begins in Tyrone

The Tyrone Recreation Department will hold registration for their fall youth softball league the next two Saturdays. Registration will be held at the Tyrone Recreation Center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Slow itch softball will be open to children 10 and under, while fast pitch softball will be open to children 12 and under.

Golf for good causes with the Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus Fayette Council #11458 are sponsoring their third annual charity golf tournament at Rivers Edge Golf Course in Clayton County.

Test your endurance with a nice bike ride

Bicycle ride to Warm Springs and back to Fayetteville Sept. 6. The ride departs from the Fayette Community Hospital at 6:30 a.m. The ride will average from 10 to 14 miles per hour depending on the slowest rider.
