Bulls charge through their super season

By MICHAEL BOYLAN

There are 450 teams in the 13- to 14-year-old grouping that play baseball in the Southeast region. When you finish in the top two out of 450, you know you have had a great season.

The Fayette County Bulls, the only 13- to 14-year-old team from Fayette County to make the state playoffs, placed second in the Southeast region, after placing first in the district and the sub-state playoffs. They won two of their six games in the state playoffs at 3 a.m., proving that they can go the distance.

When a team accomplishes as much as the Bulls did this season, it is obvious how hard everyone worked to reach that goal. Their focus now shifts to returning to school, but the memories of an incredible summer will linger in their heads for the rest of their lives.
