Evangelist Rick Bonfim will lead 4-day revival at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church

Evangelist Rick Bonfin, with ministries in both Brazil and the United States, will be the featured speaker at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church's revival scheduled for Sunday through Wednesday, Aug. 29-Sept. 1 in Newnan. This will be Bonfin's second appearance at Jones Chapel. He is a general evangelist with the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Pastor Roger Powell of Fayetteville Church of God, which sponsored a “unity” Tent Revival last week, said that God is doing things so far beyond what we can see and know in the natural or in the spiritual. Look at the facts:

Abundant Life revival ends tonight

Revival services continue through tonight at Abundant Life Worship Center in Tyrone. Evangelist Rev. Greg Harvey is the guest speaker. Tonight's service begins at 7:30 p.m.

Small congregation seminar is this Saturday at Fayetteville First UMC

“Turnaround—Strategies for Growing the Small Congregation,” a workshop sponsored by the LaGrange District of the United Methodist Church, will be held at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church this Saturday, Aug. 21 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Chairpersons and members of all committees, church governing board members, and pastors of any denomination are invited to attend.

Gospel music artist Judy Jacobs Tuttle will perform at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday when the Peachtree City Church of God sponsors a free concert for the community.

Rolling Hills Baptist plans yard sale Aug. 21

The adult Sunday School classes at Rolling Hills Baptist Church will have a church-wide yard sale Saturday, Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Disciple Bible Study sign-up deadline is August 22 at FUMC

Members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church who plan to enroll in upcoming Disciple I Bible Study classes have until Aug. 22 to sign up. Disciple is a 34-week series of classes designed to develop strong Christian leaders. Disciple II and III have not been scheduled due to insufficient interest.

Heritage Christian will offer `Walk Through the Bible' seminar Aug. 29

A seminar covering the Old Testament entitled “Walk Through the Bible” will be offered at Heritage Christian Church on Sunday, Aug. 29 from 1-5 p.m. The seminar will be preceded by lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.

Inman UMC opens registration for fall preschool program

Inman United Methodist Church is now accepting applications for children 2-4 years old to enroll in its fall program. Fayetteville First UMC youth will host dinner, fashion show Aug. 25

Members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church UMYF will sponsor a gourmet coffee, dessert and fashion show Wednesday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. in the church gym. Tickets are $10 and are on sale each Sunday in the Visitors' Center.
