Pastor In their book, The 1 Thing, Thomas and Joani Schultz compiled a list of favorite rules found in churches with a police department mentality. They suggest that far too many churches have constructed their mission and ministries around the mandate of keeping rules. The more rules one keeps, the better a church member he or she is. Here’s their list of favorite church rules: Members of the adult mission team at Fayette Presbyterian Church will head for Nicaragua June 19, following a successful mission trip to that country by the youth mission team last summer. Members will conduct medical clinics, sewing workshops, and Bible school activities during the week long trip. “You are not a survivor until you become an overcomer,” according to Gisela Mann, pastor of Kos Mayim Temple in Riverdale. Peachtree City Christian Church extends an invitation to those in the community who are interested in learning Spanish. |
