PTC Christian to host carnival, car wash

The Peachtree City Christian Church will host a Spring Carnival on Saturday, May 15, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Families in the community are invited. There will be a moon walk, slide, ponies, hotdogs, snow cones and much more. The event is free. Peachtree City Christian is at 500 Kedron Drive in Peachtree City. The Student Ministry also will have a car wash that day beginning at 10 a.m. to raise funds for an upcoming conference. For more information, call the church office 770-487-9711.

Sharpsburg Baptist to host ‘Singspiration’

Sharpsburg Baptist Church will host a Singspiration this Sunday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Guest performers will be members of the Liberty Hills Baptist Church Choir. The concert is free and a reception with desserts and beverages will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following. The church is at 6413 Ga. Hwy.54 in Sharpsburg (near the post office). Bethany UMC sets homecoming for May 16

Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will have their annual church homecoming Sunday, May 16. The guest preacher will be Riley Burton. The day’s events will include special music during worship, dinner on the grounds after church, games and activities. Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd. in north Fayette County. Fayetteville UMC plans church picnic

The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have an all-church picnic Sunday, May 16, from 4-7 p.m., at the J.W. Smith/Clayton County Water Authority recreation area. Fellowship and games are scheduled from 4-5:30 p.m., the picnic supper will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and more fellowship and games will follow. Those attending are asked to bring picnic food to share, chairs, blankets and fishing poles. Drinks and paper products will be provided by the church.

Antioch Methodist in Fairburn plans BBQ

Antioch United Methodist Church in Fairburn will have a barbecue, bake sale, and yard sale Saturday, May 22 at the church on Rivertown Road. The barbecue will be from noon until 2 p.m. with adult plates for $6.50 and children’s plates for $4.50. Tea and dessert are included. The event also will feature live gospel music. PTC UMC plans chili dinner, auction

A Silent Auction and Chili Dinner is planned for Saturday, May 22, from 5 Ð 8 p.m. at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 400 Windgate Road. A chili dinner is $5 and a hot dog dinner is $2. A partial list of auction items includes: a 3-day cruise from Jacksonville, Fla.; a 5’ X 9’ trailer; Fox Theatre tickets; and exterior home cleaning. All proceeds will benefit the girls and boys scout ministries at PTC UMC.

Mom’s Day Out now registering

The Mom’s Day Out program at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is now registering for fall 2004. Children ages three months to three years are eligible. Classes meet from 9:15 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. For more information, call Toni Johnson, 770-460-5275.

Fayetteville Christian Health Fair is May 15

Fayetteville Christian Church will host a Family Health Fair Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event is for family members of all ages. Among the featured activities will be child fingerprint I.D. kits, information from the Fayette County Health Dept. and Fayette County firefighters, blood pressure tests, blood sugar tests, hearing tests, chiropractic evaluations and many other health related activities. Introductory Prism weight loss meeting is June 5

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have an introductory meeting of the Prism Weight-Loss Program on Saturday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. in the church gymnasium.
