There are those who say he had his 15 minutes of fame the day he shot and killed professed serial killer John Paul Knowles in his infamous escape attempt of 1974. Me? I figure the man was just doing his job. I can say this because I’ve witnessed Ronnie Angel’s true calling over the years.

Starr's Mill boys and girls and Mcintosh Lady Chiefs still alive in soccer playoffs

Friday night's games in the AAAAA boys state soccer playoffs were rough. Fayette County lost to Brookwood, 4-0 and Mcintosh fell to Kennesaw Mountain, 3-2. The Starr's Mill boys had an epic battle with Parkview that lasted two overtimes and six penalty kicks before Starr's Mill won and advanced. Saturday saw the McIntosh girls beat Chattahoochee 4-1 and Starr's Mill's Lady Panthers shut out Parkview 1-0. The Starr's Mill boys will host Newnan at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, while the Starr's Mill girls will host Newnan at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and McIntosh will host Milton, also on Wednesday, time yet to be determined.
