Area players honored as state playoffs begin

On the heels of their second head-to-head match in four days, the McIntosh and Starr’s Mill volleyball teams head into this weekend’s state sectionals as the top two squads in 4-AAAAA.

Organizers pleased with junior golf event

Last weekend’s Peachtree City Junior Golf Championship was a great success, according to tournament organizers.

CCSU runners peak for Peach Belt meet

The Clayton College & State University cross country squads will be making their ninth appearance in the Peach Belt Conference Championships this Saturday and both teams will be in serious contention for the conference title. The title meet will be run at the nearby Georgia State University Panthersville course at Georgia Regional Hospital with Kennesaw State University serving as host school. The women's 5K race will begin at 9 a.m., followed with the men's 8K race at 10 a.m.

CCSU golfers finish 15th at North Shore Intercollegiate

The Clayton College & State University men’s golf team shot its two best rounds of the fall season Monday and Tuesday to finish 15th in the North Shore Pfieffer Intercollegiate at North Shore Beach and Golf Course in Sneeds Ferry, N.C.

Signups underway for lacrosse season

The Peachtree City Lacrosse Club introduced 102 new players to indoor or box lacrosse last season. Of these new players, more than 60 were age 14 and under. These new players joined the 1,400 boys and girls already playing lacrosse in the metro Atlanta area.
