New reservior planned

About five miles northeast of Palmetto on Bear Creek, The South Fulton Municipal Regional Water and Sewage Authority is planning to construct a drinking water reservoir, a raw water intake structure, a dam and water treatment facility to service the cities of Fairburn, Palmetto and Union City.

Fairburn looking to protect corridors

The Fairburn City Council votedunanimously last week to adopt a resolution to enforce codes along major corridors between incorporated and unincorporated Fulton County. The Fulton County Board of Commissioners created the resolution in hopes of preserving the quality of life in Fulton County and retain property values.

Triathlon sees large turnout

Organizers of the first Tri-PTC Sprint Triathlon called the event “a huge success,” as nearly 300 athletes took part and more than 150 volunteers participated.

CCSU golfers place 20th in N.C. tournament

The Clayton College & State University men's golf team shot a final round of 328, up 15 strokes from its opening round, to finish 20th in the Johnny Palmer/Old North State tournament at Old North State Club in Badin, N.C.
