Chief: 'No Gestapo on cart paths'

"We don't intend to be the Gestapo on the cart paths," Peachtree City Police Chief James Murray told the City Council last week. But, he said, in effect, the law is the law, and it must be enforced no matter how disagreeable it might be.

Our Town auditions set

The director of NCTC's record-breaking "To Kill A Mockingbird" will be holding auditions for Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" at Newnan Community Theatre at 7:30 on July 14 and 15. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.The director asks that those auditioning be prompt and know your conflicts and commitments through the end of September.Rehearsals will generally be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. More rehearsals may be expected on the week of opening.
