American Cowboy visits Camp Creek Middle School
Lacey Curry, the
owner of Henderson Arena in College Park, visited three sixth grade
classrooms at Camp Creek recently to talk about African American cowboys.
The students had been doing research on various famous cowboys, and
Curry came to add information. He showed a video on rodeos and described
cowboy attire. Since Henderson Arena sponsors both African American
and Latin American rodeos, Curry described those events also.
Workshops
scheduled for home buyers
Brayson Homes will
host Home Buyers Workshops this Saturday, April 26, at the model homes
in three of its communities: Carlton Chase in Dacula, Deer Creek in
Union City, and Bellaire at SummerGrove in Newnan.

Georgia Teen of Excellent Pageant to be held May 4
Twelve teenagers
who transformed over the past 12 months into confident, goal-oriented
individuals will showcase their lives as testimonials during the 3rd
annual "Miss Georgia Teen of Excellence Pageant" May 4.

The Southern K Ranch,
located at 2950 DeMooney Road in College Park, will present the South
Fulton Community Rodeo and Festival on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 25
and 26 at 7:30 p.m.

honored this month in Fulton County
Fulton County's
Older Americans Month celebration will kick off today, with a "Senior
Citizens' Expo" of the public-private network serving the county's
150,000 elderly residents.

County hosts Jazz Night 2003
Fulton County Commission
Vice Chairman William "Bill" Edwards, District 7, and the
Fulton County Arts Council are hosting Jazz Night 2003, featuring the
Clark Atlanta University Jazztet, at the South Fulton Arts/Cliftondale
Recreation Center, tomorrow from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
