Tennis program sent five members to Super Nationals

Five members of the Peachtree City Tennis Center's High Performance program went to Arizona over Christmas to play in the Super Nationals. The players are of varying ages and had to qualify for the tournament in different tournaments around the country. Though tennis is an individual sport, there is little doubt that the High Performance program is a team focused on helping each other become the best tennis players they can be.

Basketball teams face tough region competition

Tuesday night's high school basketball games saw Sandy Creek split with Lithia Springs and East Coweta sweep McIntosh.

Lots of local wrestling this weekend

If you like wrestling, be sure to head to the Starr's Mill complex this weekend. Rising Starr Middle School will host the Metro Middle School Athletic League (MMSAL) championships tonight and tomorrow and Starr's Mill will host the Panther Duals tomorrow. On Saturday, there will be eight mats of wrestling action taking place at the two schools.

McIntosh swim teams get big wins

McIntosh High School's swim team hosted a double dual meet against Sandy Creek and Lovejoy last week and defeated both schools.

Lacrosse event in PTC this weekend

The Peachtree City Lacrosse Association will hold the first Box Lacrosse Jamboree tomorrow from 12-5 p.m. at the Kedron Multi-Purpose Rink on Kedron Drive North in Peachtree City. The event will feature several games between youth U14, U12, and high school teams from Tucker and Peachtree City, and two adult teams from Alpharetta will hold an exhibition game between the youth and high school games.
